Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 4 May 2018

  Good morning.  

It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation.

 This week our sponsor is "Di's Digi Stamps".

For my male themed card I have used the Di's Digi Stamps image called "MP3 Mike" and I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.  I have then die-cut around the image with a Spellbinders die and then used a texture and stars stamps from Visible image to add some interest around the image.

I decided to go for a colour scheme of blue and kraft card so the blue packing paper is just a piece of scrap left in my scraps folder.

I have finished the cards off with a die-cut banner tag, die-cut stars and a Joanna Sheen star die-cut banner and a stamped sentiment.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps May Facebook Challenge - Black, white and the option of a pop of one other colour

 Today is the start of the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group Monthly Challenge.

The topic for the challenge this month is "BLACK, WHITE AND THE OPTION OF A POP OF COLOUR".

I decided to play along with their challenge this month.

 For my card I have used one of the grayscale images called "The Fading Rose".  I decided my "pop of colour" would be one of the roses coloured in with an Orchid and Amethyst Promarker with some Stickles Rock Candy on top for some sparkle.

The backing papers I have used are from First Edition and from some Debbi Moore Inspiration magazines.

I have finished the card off with a "happy birthday" Craftwork Cards sentiment, ribbon, lace, flowers cut from one of the backing papers and some gems.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 27 April 2018

 Good morning.  

It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation.

The sponsor for this weeks' challenge is Ching-Chou Kuik and the winner will receive two digital images of their choice from her Etsy Store.

 For my card I have decided to make a Christmas card to try and keep my supply of cards being made throughout the year rather than just last minute!!  I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Holly Fairy" and I have coloured my image in with Promarkers and inked the edges with a green Versa Magic ink pad.

The backing papers are scraps from my stash.  I have used various Christmas stamps that came with a magazine last year to add a bit of interest underneath the image.

As this card will have to be posted I have had to keep the embellishments to a minimum so I have stamped a sentiment on the backing papers and just added some Papermania Glitterations for a little bit of sparkle.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 24 April 2018

 Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

I decided to go with a shabby chic style of 60s groove card.  For my card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Dance to the Groove".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and used the colour scheme of brown and pink.

The backing papers are by Sara Davies from Crafter's Companion and were a freebie with one of the magazines I bought before Christmas.  On the top piece of backing paper I used a Sheena Douglass groovy stencil and inked through with Tim Holtz's Tea Die distress ink.

I have finished the card off with some pink satin ribbon, white lace, die-cut flowers made from scraps of the leftover paper with some having brad Centres and others having Ranger Sepia Glossy Accents into the centre. doily and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 20 April 2018

 Good morning.  It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation.

  We are lucky to have "Polkadoodles" as our sponsor this week.

 For my card I have used the Polkadoodles image called "Ula be yourself".  I have coloured in my image with Promarkers.  I have then painted over the image with my Pebeo Drawing Gum Fluid to mask over the image.  I then scrawled various Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers onto my glass mat, spritzed with water and swirled the image through to get a watercolour effect background.  Once the background was dry I rubbed off the Pebeo Masking Fluid to reveal my image with now a lovely watercolour background.

The backing papers I have used are from some Debbi Moore Inspiration Magazines.

I have finished the card off with lace, ribbon, flowers and a sentiment that came with the image.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 20 April 2018

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Just a reminder that the Monthly Blog Challenge topic is "USE YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR".

This week the Design Team were challenged to "ADD A CHARM" by Nicola.

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

I do apologise for my photographs  As my computer is not allowing my camera to download I have had to resort to my husband's tablet and I'm not the best at using it!! 

I have gone for a mixed media project for my craft room.  I decided to make a piece of storage using an empty Pringles box with the box cut down to 14cm high with a semi-circle cut out of the bottom.  I then painted it with my Imagination Crafts Blue Starlight Paint.  I ended up giving it a good two coats to fully get rid of the "Pringles" logo and to give it lots of sparkle and shine.

The Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp I used was "It's all about love" and I coloured the image in with Promarkers and fussy cut the image out.

 To decorate the box I used some blue mesh underneath the image, lots of pink and blue flowers, blue cord and I made a little charm dangler with some beads/pearls, birdcage charm and some beading thread.

Now finished it houses the cotton wool pads that I use with my chalks when doing backgrounds etc.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 13 April 2018

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "USE YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR".

This week the Design Team were challenged to the topic "Monochrome".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamps image called "Spring Nocturne" (this can be found in a set along with "Spring Night", "Fantasy Easter Ocean" and "Spring Twilight").  After a lot of debate with myself I decided to go with a pink monochrome theme.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked around the background.

The backing papers are from a Papermania Spots and Stripes - Pastels paper collection.

I have finished the card off with raffia style ribbon, die-cut flowers, bird cage and birds, stamped sentiment and some pearls.
