Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 22 February 2019

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "VALENTINE'S DAY/LOVE/FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL".

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
This week I decided to make a card for "someone special".  For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Purple Night Adventure - Grayscale" (which comes in a set along with "Lavender Night Adventure" and "Daisy Night Adventure").  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and created the background with pencils and a Posca white pen.

The backing papers are from The Works.  One of the papers I cut out with a new die from Pretty Quick called "Confetti Stars Panel and Die".  A friend I know used it recently and I loved it and had to have it and the delight was it was in a sale so I only paid £2.70 for it!!!

I have finished the card off with using some of the scraps of paper and stamping out with two different flowers from a Craftwork Cards sentiment set.  Once I had stamped them I cut them out, layered them up and added gems to the centre.

Other finishing touches are two different organza ribbon, some die-cut greenery from a friend, "happy birthday to a special friend" stamped and cut out from the Craftwork Cards sentiment set and finally some more gems.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair/flowers - Pastel Green, Duck Egg, Soft Green and Amber
Dog - Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2, Ice Grey 3 and some Spectrum Noir pencils
Flowers/Fairy wings - Orchid, Amethyst and Purple
Background - Spectrum Noir pencils and blending solution and Posca white pen.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 22 February 2019

Good morning.  It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation and you MUST specify the colouring medium you have used.
This week we are lucky to have our sponsor as the company "All Dressed Up".
For my very distressed/shabby chic style card I have used the All Dressed Up image called "Sightseeing in Paris".  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers, distressed around the edge with a tearing ruler and inked with Tim Holtz's Tea Dye distress ink.

For the mounts of the card I have used a piece of kraft card and a pale salmon colour to match the cute girl's dress in the image.  The other papers were given by a crafty friend Vannessa and I tore around the edges of all the papers - which was certainly a hard task when I haven't got much strength/problems with my hands.  I then inked around the kraft and salmon pink card.  All the other papers I inked all over with the Tea Dye distress ink so they all matched.

To finished the card off I used an Eiffel Tower die and cut two out of kraft card and two out of the salmon pink card and inked around with the Tea Dye distress ink, used a flower stamp and cut out three flowers and added pearls to their centre, stamped a sentiment and added some seam binding across the card and in the form of a bow.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair/dog - Satin, Pastel Beige, Khaki and Coral
Dress - Dusky Pink, Sunkissed Pink and Coral
Eiffel Tower - Putty, Pastel Beige, Satin and Khaki.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

I Love You ....... Be my Valentine

Here is the Valentine's Day card I have made for my husband.  I have used my Joanna Sheen House Mouse "Gruffies and Happy Hoppers CD" which sadly isn't on sale anymore on Joanna Sheen's website.  I love this cute little bunny as he's helping himself to some chocolates - he'll be in trouble if he eats all the dark chocolates as they are my hubby's favourite!!
For my card I have used a topper sheet from the CD as well as an insert which I have cut down to go on the back of the card.

The backing papers are from Summertime Designs which again are sadly no longer available.

I have used a gorgeous heart embossing folder under the main topper.

I have simply finished the card off with lots of gems as I wanted the image to be the focal point.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The Male Room - Love your men
Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
Crafty Creations - Anything goes
Crafting by Designs - Love is in the air
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes

Thank You Card

One of my favourite presenters on Hochanda has to be Phill Martin.  The laughable thing that is until a friend bought me this gorgeousssssssssssss stamp for Christmas I had none of his stamps.  As a thank you for some kind people at work who bought me some chocolates for Christmas I made this "thank you" card for them.

I started off with a plain piece of card and used my Tim Holtz Faded Jeans and Peeled Pain distress inks to colour the sky and grass.  I have then used the Phill Martin rubber stamp "On Safari" with black Versafine via my Tim Holtz stamping platform.  Silhouette stamps can be difficult to stamp but thankfully with one of my best buys for 2018 I could re-stamp the image twice to get a clear impression with the stamping platform.

I then used a Spellbinders label and cut out from white card, stamped a sentiment on it and edged with the Faded Jeans distress ink so it would merge into the sky.

I finished off the card with some matting and layering and nothing else as I wanted this beautiful stamp to do the talking.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafting with Friends - Anything goes
Cards Galore Encore - Anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything goes
Love to Craft - Anything goes
A Perfect Time to Craft - Anything goes
