Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 12 July 2021

Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.

Our challenge this month is:

"EMBOSSING - WET or DRY or BOTH".

This week the Design Team were challenged to "Monochrome".

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.

Crumbs I really struggled with this one, not sure why, as I normally love doing monochrome cards.  Whether I picked the wrong colour to use or the wrong image but I got there in the end.

I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Sunshine".

I have coloured my image in with Promarkers and highlighted the centre of the flowers with a light purple glitter glue.  I inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Milled Lavender distress ink and used two different Versa Magic chalk ink pads and some dotty stamps to add some texture to the background.

The backing papers I have used are from The Works.

I have finished the card off with two Tonic doily die-cuts which I added Nuvo pearl drops to the largest of the circles in the doily patterned edge, fussy cut flowers from the same papers from The Works and a LOTV digital sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Birthday

I recently won a challenge and got to pick some images from Cute as a Button.  It was a hard choice as there were so many gorgeous images but in the end this was one of the images I chose.  It is called "Cuddly Busty Buttons - Sitting Pretty".

I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and used a VersaMagic chalk ink pad around the edge of the image.

I won another challenge and got to pick three digital paper packs from Lozzy and I picked the set called "Watercolour Wings".  I have used four of the papers, two for the backgrounds, one for the plain layers and another patterned paper on the banners (making sure I got the writing up the right way!!).

I have finished the card off with some wide lace, Sizzix die-cut circles, LOTV digital sentiment, three Lisa Horton banners, three green flowers which I inked with Tim Holtz's Broken China distress oxide and some pearls.

Happy 2nd Birthday

Well my batteries have died for my camera so instead of wait for them to charge I have asked my son to take them for me on his camera.

I have made a little card for a two year old.  I have used a set of Sizzix hexagon dies to make the card blank and do the matting and layering.  The backing papers were from my stash.  The image is a gorgeous little bunny which is a LOTV topper.

I am always very conscious when making cards for children one year onwards in that I don't put small embellishments on them in case they get their hands on the card, pull them off and put them into their mouth.  The embellishments I used were some wide raffia ribbon, No 2 peel-off and I cut some hexagons out of scraps of the papers by using a Marianne Designs die (love this die as it comes with a matching embossing folder).

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine Designs - Inspirational Post November 2014 - By Kym

Inspiration & Challenge Blog
The Bearly Mine Challenge is now a monthly challenge and in between that time you will see every two days an inspirational project from a member of the Bearly Mine Design Team.

Today it is my turn to show you an inspirational project for the Bearly Mine Inspiration and Challenge Blog.
Here is a little easel calendar and post-it note holder I have made.  You can't always afford to get everyone you want to a present but to make something like this that they can use throughout the year will mean so much to the recipient.  The image I have used is a pre-coloured topper from LOTV.

For my calendar/post-it note holder I have used the Bearly Mine design sets called "Mini Dots" and "Mixed Media 2".

If you lift the cover with the calendar on it you will see the post-it note pad which of course can be replenished throughout the year.

I have finished this project off with a Tim Holtz doily die which I have inked with Tim Holtz's Fired Brick distress ink and threaded some gorgeous red satin ribbon through, some cream flowers which I have brushed with the Fired Brick ink and some gems for some sparkle.

I am entering this project into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - 2 or 4 legs
Inspiration Destination - Anything goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
Nutcrafters - Anything but a card

Happy Birthday

Here is a birthday card suitable for a boy made with a gorgeous LOTV topper that I got at the NEC quite a few years ago.  He's such a cute little boy playing with his gaming console.

The backing papers I have used for this card are from Bearly Mine Designs Plain and Simple, Mini Dots, Festive Fun and Steampunk Fantasy 2.

Again as the card is geared towards a child I have used two different sized punches and punched out of the spot and blue paper, inked around the edges with a chalk ink pad and mounted on foam pads onto the card.  The centre has been made a little sparkly with Papermania Glitterations.

The card is finished off with a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine Challenge - March 2014 - One for the girls

It is the start of another month and therefore time for another challenge at the Bearly Mine Inspiration and Challenges Blog.  For the month of March the challenge topic is "one for the girls".
As it will not be too long for us here in the UK until it is Mother's Day (Sunday 30 March 2014), I thought I'd make this card.  Sadly I don't have a mother now or a mother-in-law.

For for my card I have used the Bearly Mine Plain and Simple, Rose's Dream, Mini Dots and Just Plaids.

The image I have used is a Lili of the Valley (LOTV) die-cut image which I have had for a number of years now and needs to be made into a card.  I have inked a doily with Tim Holtz's Dusty Concorde distress ink and kept the other white.  I have die-cut some flowers out of pink and purple tissue paper using a Spellbinders die.  I have finished the card off with some Spellbinders corners, ribbon, brads, pearl dots and a paper clay heart coloured with Dusty Concorde distress ink.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine Challenge - Tuesday 7 January 2014 - Colour Inspiration

Today sees the first challenge of 2014 for Bearly Mine Designs.  We hope you all continue to join in with our challenges.
To start the year off we have a "colour inspiration challenge" and you gain your inspiration from the picture above.

This week our sponsor is Marianne Design and the lucky winner will win these two sets of dies.
For my card I have made a Mother's Day card using a gorgeous die-cut LOTV image of a little bunny giving their mummy a bunch of flowers.  Ahhhhhhhh.

Well this might be a 6x6 inch card but I have managed to use papers from four different paper sets to get colour and texture into the card.  I have used Bearly Mine Designs Paper Lace, Just Plaids, Plain and Simple and Rose's Dream.

I have finished the card off with a pink coloured doily, shiny organza ribbon bow, buttons, flowers, sentiment off the computer and some gem stars.

There are some changes happening at the Bearly Mine Challenge Blog.  This challenge will last until the end of January as we are moving to a MONTHLY CHALLENGE.  There will be a challenge topic set each month.

Don't worry, in between that time, the Design Team will be inspiring you what you can make with Bearly Mine papers throughout the month.  Each Design Team member has been allocated a day every month to show a creation.  It might follow the challenge topic if they want to or just could be anything.  You will get to see inspiration every two days and therefore there is a Design Team Call here as we are looking for four new members to join the Team.  Details of the commitment of being part of the Design Team and how to apply are here.

So you can see there are some changes but we hope that you will enjoy the changes we have made and continue to support the Bearly Mine Challenge Blog.
