Happy Birthday

Every so often I have a go at using coloured pencils to colour in an image.  Due to my dodgy hands this image took days to colour on-an-off.  I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Harmony".

The backing papers are all from my stash and to tie-in with the theme of the yellow/green and purple colour scheme I used a Sara Davies Crafter's Companion stitching corner die and stamped with my Imperial Purple Versafine ink pad.  I also used some of the papers and used a stitched flower from the same set, cut out, inked and shaped into flowers with some sparkly brad centres.

I have finished the card off with a border die, Sheena Douglass feather stamp (cut from purple card and fussy cut out), an MDF feather I got for my birthday which I coloured with Promarkers and hung from the card with some ribbon, stamped sentiment and some gems.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Creatalcious Challenge - Anything goes with the option of Halloween/Autumn
The Creative Crafters - Anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything goes
Crafty Sentiments - Birthday
Digi Choosday - Anything goes

Happy Halloween

Here is a Halloween card that I have made using the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Big Pumpkin".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and fussy cut around the edge.

The backing papers are from my stash.  I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz's Dusty Concord distress ink and then stamped with Black Soot distress inks spider's webs and spiders.

I have finished the card off with some embroidery twine, die-cut splats and witch and a LOTV digital sentiment.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair/pumpkin - Gold, Orange and Bright Orange
Dress/hat/wings/tights - Amethyst, Orchid, Purple

Thank You

I am nearing the end of 18 months' treatment at a hospital in London.  It has been physically and mentally hard but we are on the "home run" now with just 3 more appointments to go.

For the person that has worked on me for the last 18 months I wanted to make him a thank you card.  His passion is ballroom dancing so I went to Crafts U Print and found this image by Janet Briggs that comes in a set called "Silver Strictly Come Dancing".  In this set you will get toppers, sentiments, decoupage and insert.

To make the card more male-like I teamed the silver decoupage topper up with some copper card which I put through a Crafter's Companion embossing folder.  I just hope it looks OK for a male recipient.

I inked around the edge of all the decoupage with a black Versa Magic ink pad.

I have finished the card off with a large bow, button, tag and stamped sentiment.
As it is a special card I have used a Craftezee 8x8 box and then copied the embossing of copper card and also used the topper again.  It has been simply finished with a tag and stamped sentiment.
Here is a picture of the card and box together.  I've got a few months' wait to see if the male recipient likes it or not - fingers crossed x

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 4 October 2019

It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".
This week we are lucky to be sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.
For my Christmas card I have used the Bugaboo image called "Christmas Moose Ornaments".  I have loaded the image into Craft Artist and flipped horizontally the image so I have two moose facing outwards so I could put the sentiment in the middle.  I have coloured the images in with Promarkers.

The backing papers I have used are from my Polkadoodles Here Comes Christmas CD.

For a bit of interest under the image I die-cut little tags from all of the green backing paper scraps I had and laid them out and added red Nuvo pearl drops to the centre.  I have finished off with a LOTV digital sentiment.

I have kept the card simple and thin so it can be posted!!

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Left-hand side moose - Sandstone, Cinnamon, Caramel, Sunflower and Gold
Right-hand side moose - Soft Peach, Tan, Henna, Sunflower and Gold
