Thinking of You

Here is a card I have made for someone who needs a card to let them know we are thinking of them.  This card has been made from a mini kit I bought from Crafts U Print which was designed by Anne Lever.  It is called  "Male Themed Dogs - Munsterlander".  The mini kit came with the main image, decoupage elements, sentiments and an insert.

I have finished the card off quite simply as it is for a man and just added some pearls, organza ribbon bow and I hunted in my stash for a bronze effect little clock and added some bronze split rings so I could hang it from the bow.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything goes
Creative Moments - Anything goes with the optional twist of animals
Creatalicious - Anything goes with the optional theme of to use flowers
Simon Says - Anything goes
Crafty Catz - Anything goes with the option to add a sentiment
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes

Happy Birthday

I have made this male inspired card using this amazing image of these whales from a Joanna Sheen Jody Bergsma paper pad (sadly this paper pad does not seem to be on their website anymore).  In this pad you get two of the same images so to make this card a bit more special I have used both of the images on this card so I could do more decoupage.

The backing papers I have used are from The Works.

I have finished the card off with some ribbon and cut banner shapes into the ends of the ribbon and some Papermania Glitterations.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything goes
Creative Moments - Anything goes with the optional twist of animals
Simon Says - Anything goes
Crafty Catz - Anything goes with the option to add a sentiment
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes

Happy 9th Birthday to the CD Sunday Challenge Blog

Today is a special day over at the CD Sunday Challenge Blog as it is their 9th birthday.  That is a wonderful achievement.    I may have missed a few years in the beginning but have been actively supporting this challenge blog since then as I do like to colour images but I also loveeeeeeeeeeee my VERY large collection of craft CDs!!  Happy birthday and here's looking forward to the coming years

As I had thought it might be the topic of "birthdays" I made this card recently so that I could enter the birthday challenge.  I have used my Katy Sue Designs Fabulous Fashion CD.  I have used one of the toppers with the dress and hat.  I like that it comes with lots of layers that you can cut out if you wish or leave cutting out.  As this card is going to be hand-delivered I was able to do lots of layers.

The beautiful backing papers are also from this CD.

I have finished the card off with some lace, stamped sentiment and little pearl dots.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Bonjour - Happy Birthday

Here is a card I have made using a Crafter's Companion 3D embossing folder I "HAD" to have after my crafty friend Ria used it.  The pre-coloured image with a background is from The Paper Shelter and is called "French Brunch".  I printed the image off twice so I could decoupage up the image.

I put a piece of paper from a The Works paper pad through the Crafter's Companion "Sara Signature Parisian 3D embossing folder".  I then used Imagination Crafts Starlight Wax in Bronze and White Gold and coloured over the image very lightly with a dry baby wipe.

After I had put the embossing folder and topper on the backing paper from my stash I thought it needed something else before I stuck onto the card.  Before last year I would never have considered stamping anything on in case it stamped wrong and ruined my page.  Out came my Tim Holtz Stamping Platform and I used a swirly Tim Holtz design stamp for two corners and I also used a "Happy Birthday" stamp and stamped on the edge of the image.  It's such a simple device, if you know what I mean, but it has certainly made me use more stamps than ever before on cards.

I have finished the card off wish some flowers given to me by a friend which I have edged in pink and brown to tone in with the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafting by Designs - Anything goes

Have a Good Laugh - Just Heard The News - How Old? ROFL - 30th Birthday Card

Here is a 30th birthday I have created. As the card was for a man I wanted it to have some humour. I popped over to CraftsUPrint and had a look and decided upon this image by Janet Briggs called "How Old ROFL Humorous Terrier Dog 7.5 Decoupage Mini Kit" as he was just so cute and funny. I also wanted some special "30" papers so I had a look for these and decided on two by Ann-Marie Vaux "Vintage Tea Linen 30 Birthday A4 Backing Paper" and "Natural Gold 30 Birthday A4 Backing Paper".
I printed the image off an extra time so I could do extra decoupage on the outside and inside.

I have finished the card off with sentiments from the Terrier Kit, stamped a mount for the image inside and for a message using paw prints and bone stamps and I die-cut two "30", put them through a dotty embossing folder and added bronze gilding wax to them.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations - Easter wishes and/or animals

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 5 April 2019

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "CATS OR DOGS".

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my Egypt-style card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Glowing Dazzle" (it is available in a set along with "Purple Woods", "Winter Watcher" and "Purple Comfort").  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.

I have used various papers/toppers from my Joanna Sheen Egyptian Adventure CD, Card Creations Egypt CD and my Debbi Moore Egyptian Promise CD for my handmade scrolls and pyramids image.

For the image, scrolls and topper I have torn all the edges and inked with a brown Versamagic ink pad.

For my scrolls I used some kebab sticks and coloured them black with a Promarker.  Once I had rolled up the torn edged paper into the scroll I added beads to the end of the kebab stick.

For the main background I used a postmark stamp and used my toffee Versafine ink pad onto craft card.

I have finished the card off with a stamped sentiment, X-cut punched out flowers with card candi centres and a die-cut sentiment.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair - Cocoa and Raw Sienna
Dress/headband/neckband - Duck Egg, Turquoise and Marine
Cat - Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2 and Ice Grey 3

Today is the start of the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group Monthly Challenge.

The topic for the Facebook April 2019 challenge is
"CATS OR DOGS".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.
For yet another year I am trying to make Christmas cards throughout the year.  For my Christmas card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik pre-coloured image called "Holly Night".

The backing papers are from my Polkadoodles Here Comes Christmas CD.

I have used a Crafter's Companion Die'sire frame and cut out of black card.  I then added some Imagination Crafts Gold Starlight Wax on top and got a smoother colour by using a wet baby wipe to smooth it out.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment and some poinsettias from my stash which I added Stickles glitter glue to the centre.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
