Over at Sweet Pea Stamps this week the "Artist of the Week" is Joanne Schempp. My card was shown yesterday but I thought I'd show another card today I've made with a Joanne Schempp image.
For this card I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Joanne Schempp called "Seahorse Serenade". It is available as a
digital stamp (and for this week to celebrate the Artist of the Week Joanne's digital stamps are $2.70 instead of $3.00),
single rubber stamp and as part of a
multi-image plate (Sheet 10, Plate 178 - Seahorse Serenade comes on the multi-image plate with Shh Mommies Here, Fluff Dry and Erin Irish Mermaid).
I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers/Flexmarkers and then took the lid off my Glossy Accents and used a brush to go over the water area in the image.
The backing papers I have used are from Bearly Mine Designs
Spring Surprise,
Simply Dots and
The Boys Zone (I have used the Boys Zone backing paper to punch out the border for the centre of the card).
The seahorse embellishment is a new thing for me. Whilst we were away on holiday a friend bought some air drying clay and gave to me to play with. I got a fimo mould and used it to make this seahorse. He's rather large at 6cm long so will have to keep a look-out for some smaller ones. The feel of the clay was awful for someone who doesn't do messy/things like that!! With the weather we've had it's taken 2 days to dry but I love it. I didn't have the right colour Pan Pastel and gave the basic cover with a very light pink Pan Pastel and had to use a normal shimmer chalk to add some shadowing. It certainly didn't cover as well as the Pan Pastel so I must get a good colour so I can use them in future.
I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiments and some gems.
