Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 14 December 2020

The new Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Challenge started on 1 December 2020.

This month the topic is " HAPPY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY BIRTHDAY or JUST FOR YOU or JUST BECAUSE".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

For my Christmas card with tag card I have used the pre-coloured Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Holly Fairy".

I have printed off two sizes of the toppers, one larger for the card and one smaller for the tag.  I have simply inked around the edges with a olive green chalk ink pad and added Glossy Accents to the holly berries.

The backing papers I have used are from The Works.

For the tag I used a tag die to cut the shape.

I have finished off the card/tag with some satin ribbon, organza ribbon, red Nuvo pearl drops and a Lisa Horton ticket sentiment.

I am entering this card and tag into the following challenges:

O little town of Bethlehem how still we see thee lie .....

Here is a special Christmas card I have made using my Debbi Moore Nativity Papercrafting CD.  As the card will be hand deliver I went BIG and used two pieces of A4 card to make the card as you can see from the picture below of the card near a full sized ruler.

I printed the decoupage off including printing one sheet twice so I could do lots and lots of layers.  When I first started cardmaking I started with decoupage and although I love using rubber stamps and colouring the images in along with colouring digital images I still love doing decoupage.

As I wanted the image to "do the talking" I have just done some matting and layering and added the decoupage image along with a couple of sentiments.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The Paper Funday Challenge - Anything goes with the optional twist of Christmas/Holiday
Winter Wonderland - Anything goes Christmas
Let's Craft and Create - Anything goes with the option of Santa Claus is coming to town
The Corrosive Challenge - Anything goes

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 11 December 2020

It is time for Team A's last challenge for 2020 over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The weekly topic is always "anything goes".

This week we are lucky to be sponsored by "Oddball Art".

For my Christmas easel card I have used the Oddball Art digital stamp called "Christmas Elf with Long Naughty List - Image No 353".

I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.  I then printed out a copy of the image the same size onto copier paper and cut out the inside of the list to use as a mask.  I then put the image with the mask on top into my Tim Holtz stamping platform and used a Morning Mist Versafine Clair ink pad and a distressed script stamp to add writing to the rather long list.

The backing papers I have used are from various Polkadoodles CDs.  For all the presents I used a gift backing paper from a Christmas Creative Crafting World CD.  It was a slow job cutting them all out and inking their edges but it meant that I could add the presents to foam pads and the majority are used as my stopper for the easel card.

I have finished the card off quite simply with a sentiment from a Polkadoodles CD and a pom-pom on the elf's hat.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Birthday Niece

It is my niece's birthday today.  She has a pug called Lily so when looking through images on CraftsUPrint this kit by Gillian Hutchinson called "Busted" was perfect.

It is a mini kit whereby you get toppers, insert and sentiments etc.

The backing papers I have used are from Summertime Designs (sadly no longer available) and on one plain brown paper I stamped lots and lots of paw prints on it.

I have finished the card off quite simply with some Phill Martin Sentimentally Yours die-cut tags, fibres and some Papermania Glitterations.

Fingers crossed my niece likes it.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

" HAPPY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY BIRTHDAY or JUST FOR YOU or JUST BECAUSE".

A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge Blog - December 2020

Today sees the last challenge of 2020 over at the A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge Blog.

The topic is always "ANYTHING GOES" and you are allowed unlimited entries into the challenge.

This month we are very lucky to be sponsored by  "Dr Digis House of Stamps".

For my Christmas card I have used the Dr Digi image called "Simply Santa Colour".  As soon as I saw the image I fell in love as he's a proper nice looking Santa if you know what I mean.  I printed the image onto glossy photo paper for some shine to it and printed off multiple copies of the image so that I could decoupage him.

The backing papers I have used are from various Polkadoodles Christmas CDs.

I used my Phill Martin Sentimentally Yours eyelet dies.  I love these dies but those pesky little eyelet pieces get everywhere.  I keep cleaning my craft desk and find more and more!!

I have finished the card off with some die-cut greenery, poinsettias made from scraps of the paper, Phill Martin Sentimentally Yours banner die-cuts, pom-pom for Santa's hat, stamped sentiment, organza bow, brad and Nuvo drops.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Fancy Frames

Last month when we were away I bought a little box for small notes with a drawer underneath.  It was 100% OK when I got it but by the time I got it back to the caravan there was a deep cut in the top.  Well I couldn't leave it like that so I decided to make a new top for it.

The image I have used is by Ching-Chou Kuik and is called "Sweet Pal".  I coloured my image in with my Promarkers.  I think I must use purple shades too much as I need to go and source some more purple Promarkers as I cannot be without them.

The backing papers I have used are from The Works.  I got a beautiful paper pad at the same time as this note box and it has lovely purple/pink/blue shades.  I was loathe to cut into it but I did.  I am hoping when they are next back open after the lockdown in the UK I can go and get another one.  I used a piece of plain purple pad from The Works and cut out a Marianne Designs frame.  I've had this for a long time but I could never get it to cut out easily with my manual die-cutting machines but as soon as I used my Gemini machine it cut like a breeze.

I have finished off the top with some Sue Wilson die-cut greenery, punched flowers and Nuvo pearl drops.

I am entering this project into the following challenges:

Passion for Promarkers - Fancy frames
Love to Scrap - Anything goes
Unicorn Challenge - Anything goes
Love to Craft - Anything goes
