Happy 28th Anniversary Husband 💕

💕  💕  💕  💕  💕  💕  💕  💕  💕  💕
Today is a very special day today for my husband and myself as it is our 28th wedding anniversary.  Our time together has had some good times but unfortunately the majority of our married life bar a few years I have been unwell so that has been an added strain for my husband.  We have managed 28 years together and have two wonderful sons so that cannot be too bad can it?

Recently I won a challenge and got to pick some images from Dr Digi as my prize.  As soon as I saw the image "Flossie's Day Out" I knew I wanted it for our anniversary card.  I had a moped for a few years when I first started work and hated it and fell of numerous times.  We go to Skegness quite often and regularly see motorbikes with sidecars and I've said to my husband that I'd love a ride in a sidecar - but I'd doubt I'd get in one with my health and where would my walking stick go?  We can dream though!!!

Not sure what my husband will think of his card.
I have coloured the Dr Digi image called "Flossie's Day Out" with my Promarkers.  I have decoupaged the lights from some dimension and added Glossy Accents to their glasses.  I have edged the image with a tyre stamp I had in my stash from a magazine freebie and also used a little dotty stamp as well using a grey Prism ink pad.

The backing papers are from Summertime Designs who no longer seems to be around anymore as she made gorgeous papers.

I have finished the card off with stamped sentiments, die-cut the numbers "2" and "8" 4 times and stuck them together to make them more pronounced on the card and added some red/white/blue ribbon to match the colour scheme of the card.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair/beard - Ice Grey 1 and Ice Grey 2
Sidecar/motorbike - Red, Berry Red, Crimson, Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2, Ice Grey 3, Black, Lemon, Yellow and Purple
Flossie/her biker friend/helmets - Amethyst, Purple, Mulberry, Arctic Blue, Sky Blue, Leaf Green, Bright Green, Ice Grey 2 and Ice Grey 3.

Now just for a laugh here are a few photos of us 28 years ago:

Happy 5th Anniversary

Here is a 5th anniversary card I made recently using a CraftsUPrint image called "Sloths Just Chillin" set by Janet Briggs.  I printed off the the main image page twice so I could do lots of decoupage layers as the card was being hand-delivered.  I also used the insert which you also got in the kit.

I have finished the card off quite simple using stamped sentiments (using different fonts/sizes of stamps which other crafters I use which I think look good but when I do it I am not sure!!), green glitter glue on the leaves for some sparkles and some pearls.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Creatalicious Challenge - Anything goes with the option of bright and fun
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything goes
As You Like It - Favourite - birds or beasts (I have a "thing" about birds flying too close to me like pigeons and seagulls especially when both my husband and I have food taken from our hands as we are eating by seagulls and two weeks ago a large seagull pinch half of my husband's Danish blue cheese roll out of his hands - so I think I will have to say beasts are my favourites)

Happy Birthday Husband

Today is my husband's birthday so he had to have a special birthday card.

I have printed the sheets out twice so I can do lots of decoupage and also so that I could make a shaker card.  Yes some bits are fiddly to cut out but oh so worth it.

The backing papers are from The Works and also from Sara Davies' Crafter's Companion Nautical Collection.

I have finished the card off with a stamped sentiment, sequins/glitter in the shaker and some gems.

I have used my Katy Sue Designs Fabulous Fashion CD.  I have used one of the toppers with the dress and stand.  I printed off two sheets so that I could do extra decoupage (yes I do loveeeeeeeeee cutting out decoupage) as the card was being hand delivered to the recipient.

I have used some plain style card and a backing paper which were all printed from the CD.

I have finished the card off with some pearl dots, wide teal grosgrain ribbon, white lace, thin green stitched grosgrain ribbon, some die-cut butterflies and a sentiment.

Let's hope the recipient likes it!!!

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 5 July 2019

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

The Blog Challenge for July 2019 is "MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND".

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Sunflower Night" and have coloured the image in with Promarkers and used chalks for the background.

Onto the "make your own background".  For this I used various Distress Oxide refills (Fossilised Amber, Spice Marmalade and broken China) and put the colours on my glass mat one at a time, spritzed with water and then dried each layer.  Then I used various stencils and used the same distress oxides through these to get a bit of a pattern.  It took quite a long time but I am very pleased with the results.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment, stamped flowers from a magazine and some twine.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair - Cinnamon, Tan and Putty
Dress/hat - Azure, Artic Blue and Sky Blue
Flowers/moon - Lemon, Yellow, Canary, Leaf Green, Bright Green, Cinnamon and Raw Sienna
Cat - Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2 and Azure.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments - Anything goes and sentiment
Crafty Friends - Something beginning with "B" (blue and best wishes)

I have finished my card off with some lace, sentiment and two Prima butterflies which were grey but I coloured with Promarkers to match the colour scheme.
