I needed to make a sympathy card so I turned to Joanna Sheen's Heavenly Cards CD and found a nice image of some lilies. I decoupaged the image, did a bit of stamping, added a peel-off, added a beautiful insert that matched the image and the words were so good and finally some fibres and it is all ready to send off.

Two Art Deco Cards
This has been the first time since Christmas Day that I could have a little play. I'd previous cut out the pyromage, backing papers, ribbons etc so it was just a case of deciding how to put it together. The cards were made using the Di Kaye Card Creations Art Deco CD which I love using.

4. Jak
6. Sheena

10. Enjay
I hope to get more experience of blogging and cardmaking in 2009 and look forward to seeing all your creations.

Preparations for Christmas Day
This is the first time in 8 years that I've been off on Christmas Eve so a lot of getting ready is down to me and one of my sons as my husband and other son are at work. I'm shattered now as I have to do a bit, then rest, do a bit again. I have attached some pictures of our table ready decorated for tomorrow along with the tree (we normally have a real tree but couldn't afford one this year so I was given this tree for attending bingo the other week but we think it's done us proud), a pile of presents wrapped up and ready to be opened and one of the Christmas cake I have decorated this morning. My husband made the cake but used a different tin and therefore I found it hard to stretch the icing out but have done the best I can do. I have put the cake band round that I cross-stitched about five years ago. It takes pride of place on the cake every year as it took soooooooooooo long to make!!!
Blog Candy
Karen (Crafty Goings On) has been so generous and listed some blog candy to be won by 1 January 2009. Please go take a look at her blog as I often do for inspiration. I would love to win this blog candy to help me with my charity work. Kym

Christmas card for my husband
My last Christmas card I am making this year is for my beloved husband. He is so good as he has to do so much more in the household than a lot of men due to my ill health. I chose this picture from Michelle Marsden's Triple Treasure Christmas CDs as it was us two sitting next to one another looking at the sky. Ahhhhhhhh. The background is from the Artylicious Season's Greetings CD along with the insert.
Card for my Mum for Christmas
I have made my Mum a very different Christmas card this year. I'm not sure she will like it. It's the first time I've done a medallion card but have used a Papermania stamp for this that I've had since a January sale in 2008. I used the Artylicious Damask Delights CD to do the backing paper and decided to not stick it on in one piece but did strips making sure I matched up the patterns after the gap. Not sure whether it works or not. To finish it off I added a tassel and stamped the greeting from the Cute Companions Glad Tidings Stamp set.
Last few Christmas Cards
Well two more Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit cards I've made before he retires until Christmas cards for 2009. I shall have to buy some more otherwise I'll get severe withdrawal symptoms!!! The cards have been made with the Cute Companions Christmas CD and also Baggy Jumper Messy Rabbit and some of the coordinating stamps.

Card for Sister-in-Law's Birthday
It is my sister-in-law's birthday a few days after Christmas so I have made this card for her using the Card Creations Di Kaye Art Deco CD. There were too many nice images to choose from but because of time constraints I just had to make a topper card - next time I'll try the pyromage or the 3D decoupage.
Cards for a friend
I always make some cards for a friend for Christmas along with a small present. She loves receiving these cards and passing them onto others. I have used a Create and Craft kit and some Michelle Marsden Topper sheets for these cards along with Card Creations Di Kaye Art Deco CD for one.
Rudolph cards
This is one of my favourite stamps I have used this year and couldn't resist making another few to use for the neighbours. The stamp is from Hampton Arts and the background is made from Artylicious Season's Greetings CD.
Very Unique Christmas card
My boss is MAD about pigs so I had an idea for a very unique Christmas card - one with a pig on it!!! I used My Craft Studio Magic of Christmas to put on a Christmas hat and a wintery border and hey presto the card was made. She was absolutely delighted with the card and was going to take it home for pride of place on the mantelpiece!!!

Art Deco Cards
I thought I'd make some cards for my aunt and uncle for Christmas so they can be used throughout the year. I used the Di Kaye Art Deco Cd by Card Creations. There are many gorgeous images on these CDs - really too many to choose from.

Bookmark and a Card and Bookmark
It is a friend at works birthday on Christmas Eve. She saw the card I'd made for a colleague this week and asked if she was getting one. I said "no" as it wasn't up to me to get a card/organise the collection as it is the person next to them birthday-wise. She said that she wanted a bookmark as well and looked so disappointed. I would have made her a card anyway and made this one using the Joanna Sheen Pamela West CD and also made a bookmark to match. I used some U-mount floral stamps to make the corner flourish and adornments.
Another friend liked the looks of the bookmark as well so I made her one for Christmas and the photo is on here. I made another cat one but the photo didn't come out - must try and practice more with the camera.
Losing three tassels in one week-end was distressing!!!
Various Christmas Cards
Here are a selection of Christmas cards made and sent over the last month. Messy rabbit makes pride of place in a lot of them but I've also used Artylicious Season's Greetings CD, My Craft Studio Magic of Christmas, Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Christmas and Michelle Marsden's Christmas Triple Treasure CDs along with some stamping. Please excuse some of the photos - I thought I'd got the hang of the new camera but I think not!!!
Charity Stall - December 2008
Well Friday was the last time to set up my stall for charity in 2008. I never do very much but it's best to keep going there regularly as someone is always waiting to step into your shoes. A Messy Rabbit card made pride of place on the front of the stall - favourtism I know!!!
New Home Card
A friend of my son was moving house on Friday so I didn't need much of an excuse to get out of the packet a new set of stamps I'd received from Joanna Sheen's Online Shop on Thursday. I used one of the Messy Rabbit Backing Pad No 2 sheets, Messy Rabbit with the toadstool (but just cut off the toadstool), used my new Messy Rabbit Pub stamp but omitted anything associated with the pub and coloured all the stamped images in with Lyra Watercolours. I seem to be getting addicted to Messy Rabbits as well as rubber stamping. I vowed 2008 was going to be my "year of Stamping" but I've left it quite late but I will do much more in 2009 as I've got the bug now.

Christmas Cards for an Uncle and Cousin
I had a visit today from my uncle who was returning from a Caribbean cruise via the UK before returning to his home in Spain. I gave him his card made using Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Christmas CD and Artylicious Season's Greetings CD. I didn't want to put too much on it and nothing metal as it might cause problems at the airport on the way home. The picture isn't too good but that is operator error.
The other card is for my cousin who he'll see this week. This card was made using the Cute Companions CD and of course Baggy Jumper Messy Rabbit. She has four children and they love animals so I think they'll like Messy Rabbit.
Commissioned Christmas Cards for two Grandsons
I was asked to make two cards for a lady's grandsons. For one I used a Cute Companions theme as the packing and the other a Messy Rabbit Backing Paper out of the blue pad and of course both have Baggy Jumper Messy Rabbit on them all coloured in with equivalent H2Os.
Commissioned Christmas Card for a Grand-daughter
Another card I was asked to make. This time I used the Cute Companions CD and also the mice stamps - this was the first set of stamps that were brought out and not the Christmas ones.
Commisioned Christmas Card for a Daughter and SIL
I was asked to make a special Christmas card for a lady's daughter and new son-in-law. I used the Cute Companions Cd for the background and also the Cute Companions mice stamps.
Commissioned Christmas card for a Son and family
I was asked to make a Christmas card for a lady's son and family. I used Michelle Marsden's Triple Treasures Christmas Cds, the Glitter Girls Celebration board and some bought decoupage I had.
Christmas card for a lady's dog
Joanna Sheen Card Competition
Joanna Sheen recently held a card competition which you had to make a card using the Joanna Sheen Jayne Netley Mayhew CD. I spent one evening looking at the images but there were too many nice ones to pick but in the end I went for some cat images and printed them off on canvas paper. They say on the dining room tables for some weeks and only decided this time last week that I would actually enter. The card was posted first class recorded delivery on Friday to arrive on Saturday ie the deadline date. I then saw a thread on Sunday night to see that I had won one of the nine runner-up places and I was "over the moon" - don't think I have still got over the surprise of it yet.
Cards for a Special Person
I recently went to a special event and was nervous about attending as I didn't know anyone. Someone came to my rescue and was there by my side for the day and it really meant a lot. I wanted to make her a special thank you card and used the Messy Rabbit Backing Pad and also a Lovins Stamp and couldn't resist making a Christmas card using the Cute Companions CD and Baggy Jumper Messy Rabbit stamp.
