Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.
Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "SPRING/EASTER".
This week the Design Team were challenged to "USE SOME FLOWERS".
Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my bright and cheery card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "
Autumn's Here". I have coloured her in with my Promarkers and used pearlescent chalks for a delicate background.
I have used some new
Sue Wilson octagonal dies that I got from Christmas "from me to me"!! I used a sunflower stamp and a toffee Versafine ink pad to stamp the sunflowers onto some yellow card before cutting out with the dies. I then used kraft card for the card base. Normally I print four images to a page but to make sure the image would fit in the die I printed two images per page so I had a bit of legroom when placing the image before cutting with one of the plain dies.
From some of the backing paper I made with the stamps I cut out the sunflowers, cut between some leaves, inked around with a brown Versa chalk ink pad, shaped and then added brown seed beads to the centre.
I have finished the card off with some greenery die-cuts which I coloured with a bright green Promarker and a die-cut sentiment.
The Promarkers that I have used are:
Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair - Cinnamon, Tan and Caramel
Dress - Pastel Pink, Salmon Pink and Blush
Sunflowers/leaves/other flowers - Lemon, Yellow, Cocoa, Umber, Bright Green, Leaf Green and Antique Pink.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
