Sweet Pea Stamps - Rachel Anderson - Angelic

I needed to make a special card for a friend to let her know I am thinking of her and her family.  I have used a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Rachel Anderson called "Angelic".  She is available as a digital stampa single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 1, Plate 95 - Angelic comes on the multi-image plate with Lily of the Valley, Sweet Dreams and Snow Fae).
Due to the reason for sending the card I have kept my colour scheme very pale and used my Graph'it pens to colour and added highlights with my clear Wink of Stella pen.

The backing papers I have used are from Summertime Designs.  The recipient loves vintage style cards so I have tried to keep to what she likes.  I have finished the card off with some ribbon, Tim Holtz die-cut flowers, card candi, ribbon bow and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Ching-Chou Kuik - Holly Fairy

Here is my weekly Design Team card for Sweet Pea Stamps.  As Christmas will soon be here I decided to make a Christmas card using the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Holly Fairy".  It is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 21, Plate 60 - Holly Fairy comes on the multi-image plate with Poinsettia Fairy, Holly Night and Cherish Christmas).

Ching-Chou Kuik - Pale Moon

Here is an alternative Christmas card.  When I saw this Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Pale Moon" I instantly thought of a Christmas card as I thought the flower looked like a poinsettia.  This image is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and part of a multi image plate (Sheet 41, Plate 199 - Pale Moon comes on the multi-image plate with Fading Love, Deep in the Night and Poppy from the Mist).
I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.  The Graph'it Challenge this week is entitled "dark skintones".  This certainly made me want to "run for the hills" but a challenge is a challenge for a reason.  I have struggled in the past with my Promarkers getting a dark skin without the image looking like a clown.  I am hoping I have done OK this time with my Graph'it pens.  I have used the colour combo of 4120, 4170, 4180 and 5120.  Around the image I have added some Frantage to replicate snow.

The backing papers are from the CD that came free with the Crafter's Companion Inspiration Magazine.  I have finished the card off with a die-cut snowflake border, die-cut poinsettias, pearl drops, faux stitching, gems and Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sentimental Sunday - Winter wonderland

I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.  The backing papers I was given.  Due to the expense of posting cards I am trying to keep the height of cards to a minimum so it doesn't cost people a lot to post.  I have therefore embellished with some washi tape, gems,  Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and made a flower out of tissue paper with a brad centre and red Stickles rubbed over it (messy but very effective).

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Delicious Doodles Challenge - Friday 22 November 2013 - No Designer Papers

It is Friday and time for another challenge over at the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog.  This week the topic is "NO designer papers" - so this is any bought papers/digital papers.
For my backing paper I have added Tim Holtz's Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, Chipped Sapphire and Mustard Seed distress ink onto some watercolour paper with my blending tool.  I have made sure there are no white areas.  I then sprayed the card with water and allowed the colours to merge together.  Before dry I have sprinkled over some green and bronze mica powders to add some sparkle/shimmer to the card.  I cut my piece to size as I always do things like this with an A4 piece of card so I have got special card for more than one occasion.  Around the edge of I have used a See D's scroll stamp and my Tim Holtz Black Soot distress ink.
The image I have used is the Delicious Doodles "Fuchsia and Hummingbird".  I have coloured my image in with my Graph'it pens and Promarkers.  I have finished the card off with a Joanne Sheen border die-cut that a friend gave to me and I have inked with Black Soot distress ink, some gingham ribbon and some gems.
