Gruffies and Guest Challenge Blog - November 2015 - Anything goes or the option of RED OR GREEN OR BOTH

Today it is time for me to show you another card for the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog.

The topic for October 2015 is "anything goes with the option of red or green or both".

Don't forget you do have the option of anything goes plus if you do use the optional theme (this month it is "red or green or both") you will get 2 chances in the prize draw.

Don't forget to enter the challenge you MUST use a House Mouse, Happy Hoppers or Gruffies image.
This month we are very lucky to have our sponsor, Di's Digi Stamps.  The lucky winner will get a $10 voucher to spend in their store.
For my card I have gone for the colour scheme of red and green.  I have used one of my favourite Joanna Sheen House Mouse images that I had in a decoupage set some years ago.  It's now time to stop looking at it and make it into a card.  Is anyone else like me and needs to keep some images to look at for a long while before using?

The backing paper I printed off from a CD last year and unfortunately didn't write on the back where it came from so I apologise for not linking to the company.

I have made the decoupage up using 1mm pads.  It's sad that we have to make things so low but when it comes to the cost of posting cards we have to go thin and have the cards with more frills for those that can be hand delivered.

I have finished the card off with some red with a gold edge ribbon, sentiments off the decoupage sheet, a wooden heart coloured in with a red Graph'it pen and some gems.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

House Mouse and Friends - Plaid or anything goes House Mouse
Love to Scrap - Anything goes
Incy Wincy - Critters large and small
Craft Your Passion - Always anything goes
Crafty Hazelnut Christmas Challenge Extra - Anything goes

Inspiration Destination - Anything goes
Aud Sentiments - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Light it up (hope the fire is OK)
As You Like It - Favourite season and why (Winter - not because of the weather as I struggle in the cold but for the fact this is when we have Christmas - it is a time to remember the religious reasons why we have Christmas and for spending time with family and friends)
Craft Rocket - Add a sentiment
Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything goes
Creative Fingers - Anything goes

Season's Greetings

For my Christmas card I have used a Ching-Chou Kuik new release called "Lily in Christmas".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, added Stickles glitter glue to areas, added chalks for the background and edged the image with Tim Holtz's Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint distress ink.  As you can see I didn't keep the image as lilies but in fact made them into poinsettias.

The backing papers are from a Debbi Moore magazine.

I have finished the card off with various Marianne Designs die-cuts (Anja border (LR0300), holly (LR0244) and square decorative shape (LR0234)), satin ribbon, sentiment, die-cut flower, pearl and Nuvo drops.
