Over at the Daisy May Challenge blog this week the challenge is "feeling hot, hot, hot!" so I have chosen some very hot red and gold colours from Summer Driggs.
Over at the Pile it On Challenge blog this week the challenge is to use three embellishments so I have used a red brad, some ribbon and some flowers.
Over at The Corrosive Challenge Blog the topic this week is "Summer Fun" so I didn't need telling more than once to make a card using a seaside theme. These are my new Elusive Images lighthouse stamps. I wanted Jenny once on Ideal World make an extension of the scene onto the backing card and then mount the main image on foam pads - I know what I mean but not sure I have explained it that well at all!!
I have used my new Crafter's Companion Popcorn CD and made my first card. It was soooooooo hard to just choose one image but I picked Popcorn and Souffle together.

My Mum asked me to make a card for my husband for his birthday next week. I'd planned on this card but I've now moved onto something different. I used an image from my new Men's CD from Crafty Computer Paper and it has been decoupaged. I also had a metal tennis racket and bead (for the ball) which I sewed onto the card.
Over at the Stamp Addicts blog there is some lovely blog candy up for grabs. I do so like looking at their blog for inspiration.
I was asked by a new customer to make him a card for a friend. It was a difficult card to make as the re-mit was quite a long list. I got there in the end - but with a lot of cursing - but all I kept thinking about was the children at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London as cards they sell where he works or they order 50% goes to the hospital. One of the photos looks strange but as the words were written by the customer I have blanked it out in the photo with my Wizard plate - another use for it eh???
One of my customers wanted a card for her best friend for her birthday. She's not into anything really but does like fashion. Thankfully I take photos of cards I make as I picked the same image from last year for this so that was a no-no. In the end I used my Card Creations Art Deco CD and chose this gorgeous looking lady. I used the faded tone backing paper, the 3D decoupage and the brighter insert for the inside. I had some of the backing paper left over so instead of leaving it in a box to possibly get damaged I cut a circle out with a scalloped Nestabilities die and stuck it to the back of the card. I think it finishes off the card well.
This card meets the criteria of this weeks' CRAFT Challenge of decoupage.
When my customer was asking me for a couple of cards she said she thought that that was all. I said that unless she wanted to be in the "dog house" for a whole year it wasn't. She couldn't think. In the end I told her it was her son-in-law's birthday at the end of the month and she admitted it had slipped her mind.
I used my new Men's CD from Crafty Computer Paper and chose this garden image as he likes being in the garden. It has been decoupaged up in various places and I made the matching insert by importing the garden image into a Word document.
I um'd and ah'd and tried a patterned background paper but wasn't happy with it as it looked too busy with the topper backing. In the end I just used some gold mirror card. This means it fits the criteria for the My Time to Craft Challenge this week as it it no patterned papers.
I was asked by a customer to make a new baby girl card to celebrate the safe arrival of Sienna. I used Joanna Sheen's baby Love CD for the backing paper, image and insert. I used some tags, part of my blog winnings that I was sent by Ann that I received yesterday, to add to the insert.
This card fits the criteria for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge for the use of 3 ribbons - there is in fact 9 pieces of ribbon on the card!!!
I recently entered Ann, Craftroom Creations blog candy to celebrate her birthday. She had three lots of blog candy and I won the third lot. I got home today to a package which I quickly opened. Inside was vellums, cardstock, card blanks, stickers, toppers sheets and peel-offs. I shall put them to good use for my cards. Thank you Ann.
I think this must be my all time record for 9 challenges in one card. I have used some gorgeous Summer Driggs papers which give a Spring-like/Summer-like feel to the card. The image is gorgeous and she's a digital download from Pollycraft Designs. I have used 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders and a Spellbinders Impressibilities stencil to emboss the three circles I cut with Nestabilities dies. The embossing I have highlighted with some creamy glittery chalks - TIP - I tried using the applicators that came with it and couldn't get on with them. Cotton buds fell to pieces so today I tried some cotton wool cosmetic pads I bought to use with my normal chalks. I too thought that these might fall to bits but they worked a treat.

Over at the Funky Fairy Challenge Blog this week there is a sketch. I have used various Funky Fairy papers which I do like using and also a Funky Fairy image which has been watercoloured and edged with a chalk ink with cut-and-dry foam.
A customer wanted an 18th birthday card for a colleague where she works so I used a Dottie's World Digital Download found at Charmed Cards and Craft of Girls About Town and used the shoe shop background and one of the girls I situated just outside the shop. I have imported some sentiments and another image into Word and made the insert.
I was asked by one of my customers to make a card for her for a friend at work whose birthday is shortly. She wanted teddies/cute so I thought this little cutie from a Michelle Marsden CD fitted the bill perfectly. I have used the sketch this week over at the The Fresh Batch Weekly Sketch Challenge to arrange the card. I copied the largest image and inserted it into the insert for the inside of the card as well.

Yes, time was up yesterday for my regular stall to be set up for charity. It's amazing how quickly the month rolls by for the next one. This time I am raising funds for the CFS/ME Association to help to try and work out why people like me get this illness/disability and whether they can work out a cure/way forward.
For the card for the little boy on Post pals I have used my Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit CD as he likes various things including diggers. For his brother I have used my new Card Kits for Men CD from Crafty Computer Paper.

Well today is the day for the launch of a new challenge blog, Moving Along with the Times. The challenge this week is a sketch as well as the colour combination of red, cream and chocolate to celebrate Wimbledon which is on at the moment ie strawberries and cream with a hint of chocolate. I have used Summer Driggs backing papers, the flowers are created by Sharon Duncan and the decoupage is some that I was given to use for my charity work.
I am also entering this card for the challenge this week on Charisma Cardz as they have an open theme.
Over at the Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog the topic this week is sunflowers. Oh I so love sunflowers. They always make you feel cheerful. We've got some growing in our garden at the moment courtesy of my husband. I have used my Messy Rabbit CD for this card as I spied the sunflowers when I looked through the CD when I bought it and thought that this would be a nice cheery Get Well card so that's what I've made it into and added the matching insert which has lots and lots of sunflowers on it. It's finished off with a sentiment off the computer and a mini sunflower from Joanna Sheen's website.
