Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps July Facebook Challenge - Summertime/Seaside

  Today is the start of the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group Monthly Challenge.

It is a sad/happy day today.  Lisbeth and Ann-Marie have decided to leave the Facebook Design Team and we wish them well.  

With Ann-Marie leaving as the Facebook Design Team Leader I have taken over that role as well as being the Blog Design Team Leader.  I hope I can live up to the hard work that Ann-Marie put into the role!!

I am delighted to say a big "hello" to two new Facebook Design Team Members, Anna and Susan.  

We look forward to seeing the beautiful creations that they will make for the Design Team.

The topic for the Facebook July challenge is "SUMMERTIME/SEASIDE".

I decided to play along with their challenge this month.

For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Seahorse" (it comes in a set along with Ladybug).  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and have done a light wash over the top with an Imagination Crafts Platinum Starlight Paint.

The backing papers are various papers from my stash and colouring sheet from Crafter's Companion which I too have coloured in with my Promarkers and washed over with the Platinum Starlight Paint.

I have finished the card off with some die-cut from a friend, stamped sentiment, coloured mesh, ribbon, pearls and die-cut shells.

Di's Digi Designs - Try something new (I tried doing a pale wash of Stardust paint over the backing paper and the image to give a distressed look - scary when doing in case I ruined the backing paper and image I had spent a long time colouring.  Love the effect though and will try again with different colours washed over the top)
