Today is the start of the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group Monthly Challenge.
The topic for the challenge this month is "Create a Picasso inspired project".
I have to admit I know nothing about Picasso. I disliked art lessons at school and quickly dropped it when I took my options and chose cooking instead. I had to do a little searching on the internet to make sure I was going in the right direction.
I took inspiration from this painting.
I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Dandelions Glow". I have coloured my image in with Promarkers.
For the background I have use some Tim Holtz mixed media dies in two corners. I then used various texture stamps and then did a light wash of Imagination Crafts Starlights Pearl Paint. Once dried I stamped over some shapes using a wooden cube stamp set I got from Stamp Addicts some years back.
I then printed out the words in Word using a scrabble font, coloured with Promarkers and stuck onto this project.
The colours I have used are certainly not "my style" and well and truly have taken me out of my comfort zone.
