Gruffies and Guest Challenge - April 2014 - Anything goes with the option of lovely lace

 On 1 April 2014 the new challenge started over at the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog.

As I mentioned at the start of this challenge there has been a change over at the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog.  

We would prefer to see all your House Mouse, Gruffies and Happy Hoppers creations but felt that you were not entering challenges because you didn't have anything suitable for the topic.  

We are now an "Anything Goes Challenge" each month but there is an optional twist for those that prefer a more specific challenge topic.  If you enter using the "optional twist" you get two entries into the challenge.

The topic for the whole for the month is "anything goes with the optional twist to use lovely lace".

For my card I have used the Joanna Sheen House Mouse Project CD and chose these little characters having fun with lemons and limes.  I have taken the photograph at a strange angle to show that I have layered up the decoupage.  I have done some simple matting and layering using a backing paper from the CD and also put some card through a large dots embossing folder.  I have made some flowers by die-cutting flowers from a book and colouring with Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed and Shabby Shutters distress inks and the flowers are held together with brads.

I have finished the card off with some lace, doily, sentiment off the CD and some gems.
