UnstampaBelles Challenge - Monday 2 April 2012

I have the greatest of pleasure of being a Guest Designer for the UnstampaBelles Challenge for April 2012.  For this challenge blog NO stamps or digital images are allowed and instead the challenge focuses on quilling, stitching, stickers, paper punches, cutting machines, decoupage, canvas work, parchment, iris folding, beading or to be totally honest anything goes apart from stamping or digital images.

The challenge is being sponsored by The Sticker Store.
Well from the colour of my card you might guess I live in the United Kingdom and have gone for the Union Jack colours of red, white and blue.  I decided to make a card for father's Day for my regular card stall for charity.  The gorgeous bulldog image and matching backing paper is from the Joanna Sheen Furry Friends CD.  I've used this character a few times now.  He's perfect for those ever so difficult men cards.

I have used a scallop card blank and turned it into an easel card.  I have then used red, white and blue card stock and cut it out with various sizes of a Nestabilities die.  I have fussy cut the bulldog.  The flowers I have made by cutting the same card and also scraps of the backing paper and cutting with a scallop circle Nestabilities die.  I have then scrunched up the pieces, laid them up, added a red/white/blue button to the top and held it all together with some wire.  For the easel stopper I have used the same card, ribbon and a Craftwork Cards sentiment which I have coloured with a blue Brilliance ink pad.  The card has been finished off with some more ribbon, another Craftwork Cards sentiment and some gems.

I would like to thank Merry and her Design Team for having me as their Guest Designer for April 2012.  Please click here and have a look at their wonderful creations.

I shall be entering this card into the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday - Easter and/or animals
Ribbon Carousel - Anything goes
Simon Says - Anything goes
Inspire me Friday - Anything goes
Crafty Emma - No girls allowed
Joanna Sheen Challenge - It's a man's world
Crafty Boots - Nautical or red/white/blue
Make my Monday - Men and boys
Kaboodle Doodle - Anything but a rectangle

Fab card Kym, cards for men are so hard to design, but you have done a great job.

Thank you for sharing your card with all of us at Crafty Boot Challenges.
