For my three cards I have used backing papers, design sheets, inserts and decoupage sheet.

For the poppy card I have finished the card off with a die-cut Tonic doily used above and below the image, die-cut butterflies, stamped sentiment and raffia ribbon.

For the rose card I have finished the card off with a stamped sentiment and a die-cut butterfly.

For the rabbit card I have finished it off with a stamped sentiment and ribbon.

Thanks

A few months ago I won a challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and got to pick some nice goodies from their shop to come across the water to the UK.  I picked a stamp set from Stampendous called "Dog Kisses" and I thought it would be perfect to break them out for this thank you card.
I have coloured the images in with Promarkers and fussy cut them out.

The card and layers have been made using my Sentimentally Yours Elegant Eyelet Square Dies.  I love this dies but those pesky little pieces from the eyelet holes get everywhere.  You think you've got them all and next time you come to craft you find even more.  This time though the eyelet pieces were saved and I used them in my shaker card - waste not, want not I say!!

The backing papers I have used from The Works and the card is made with my wood effect Dolly Dimples card which is excellent quality.

I have finished the card off quite simply with a Sentimentally Yours Double Debossed Tag die and I then used a "thanks" stamp from my collection and added some fibres to the tag to match the tone of the card.

Fingers crossed the recipients like it!!

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Wednesday 8 July 2020

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is:

 "DIE-CUTS OR PUNCHES OR BOTH".

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my thank you card I have used the partially coloured Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Poppy Fairy".  For anyone that knows me I love poppies and just had to have a play with this image.  I printed the image off onto Crafter's Companion Neenah Desert Storm A4 Kraft Card for a change.  The remainder of the image I have coloured in with Promarkers.

I have cut the image and a piece of The Works backing paper out using a Lisa Horton tag die.  I also cut the sentiment strip, backing paper and glitter card out of the banner dies you get in the same set.

I have stamped and die-cut a Sheena Douglass poppy, die-cut some leaves from a Tattered Lace poppy leaf die, used a "thank you" stamped sentiment, did some doodling (not too sure if I am happy with it) and finally added some blue Nuvo drops.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Lemon Shortbread - Anything goes
Creatalicious - Anything goes with the option to add texture
QKR Stampede - Anything goes
Cute as a Button - Anything goes with the option to use your favourite sketch

Thank You

I am nearing the end of 18 months' treatment at a hospital in London.  It has been physically and mentally hard but we are on the "home run" now with just 3 more appointments to go.

For the person that has worked on me for the last 18 months I wanted to make him a thank you card.  His passion is ballroom dancing so I went to Crafts U Print and found this image by Janet Briggs that comes in a set called "Silver Strictly Come Dancing".  In this set you will get toppers, sentiments, decoupage and insert.

To make the card more male-like I teamed the silver decoupage topper up with some copper card which I put through a Crafter's Companion embossing folder.  I just hope it looks OK for a male recipient.

I inked around the edge of all the decoupage with a black Versa Magic ink pad.

I have finished the card off with a large bow, button, tag and stamped sentiment.
As it is a special card I have used a Craftezee 8x8 box and then copied the embossing of copper card and also used the topper again.  It has been simply finished with a tag and stamped sentiment.
Here is a picture of the card and box together.  I've got a few months' wait to see if the male recipient likes it or not - fingers crossed x

Thank You Card

Here is another thank you card that I have made.  The little girl and boy stamps I was given but I think they are Hanglar stamps or I might be totally and utterly wrong.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and fussy cut them out.

For the background I have used some papers from Hobbycraft along with a beach hut embossing folder which I used chalks to colour in.

I have finished the card off quite simply with a stamped sentiment and some die-cut seagulls by Joanna Sheen.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair - Pastel Yellow, Vanilla and Primrose
Clothing - Sky Blue, Azura and Arctic Blue
Ropes/anchor - Cocoa, Caramel, Ice Grey 1 and Ice Grey 2.

"Old Salt Sailor" Thank You Card

Well when I saw this "Old Salt Sailor" from Pink Ink Designs on Honchanda he had to go on my "wait list" for items to buy - but strangely enough for someone who yearns to live near the sea he went to the top of the list and I ordered him from Craft Stash!!  He is a brilliantly sized main image but then you get 9 other images on the set as well.

At the same time my friend did purchase the image "Sea Turtle" so one day we set out at stamping out the images.  I have to be honest but we really really struggled to get these stamps to stamp perfectly at the start even after washing them, washing them again and even baby wipes.  I even contacted Mel and Cathie for some advice who own Pink Ink Designs.  Eventually after another very long soak and a light rub at the stamps with a cloth, the stamps were primed and ready for use.

For my thank you card I have used the sailor, lighthouse, small fish, large fish, compass, anchor, both the waves and crab stamps - well all of them apart from the small button.

I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and used Pan Pastels to create the subtle background.  Around the edge of the image I used a Copper Shine Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish.  With the lighthouse, large fish and smaller fish I fussy cut them out and 3D them onto the card.

As the stamps needed to "do the talking" I simply added a shell ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and a Paula Pasqual stamped sentiment.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair/beard - Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2 and Ice Grey 3
Coat/hat - Sky Blue, Azura, True Blue, Yellow and Canary
Lighthouse/anchor/fish/compass/pipe - Caramel, Cocoa, Burnt Sienna, Canary, Red, Poppy Red, Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2, Peach and Soft Peach.

Thank You Card

One of my favourite presenters on Hochanda has to be Phill Martin.  The laughable thing that is until a friend bought me this gorgeousssssssssssss stamp for Christmas I had none of his stamps.  As a thank you for some kind people at work who bought me some chocolates for Christmas I made this "thank you" card for them.

I started off with a plain piece of card and used my Tim Holtz Faded Jeans and Peeled Pain distress inks to colour the sky and grass.  I have then used the Phill Martin rubber stamp "On Safari" with black Versafine via my Tim Holtz stamping platform.  Silhouette stamps can be difficult to stamp but thankfully with one of my best buys for 2018 I could re-stamp the image twice to get a clear impression with the stamping platform.

I then used a Spellbinders label and cut out from white card, stamped a sentiment on it and edged with the Faded Jeans distress ink so it would merge into the sky.

I finished off the card with some matting and layering and nothing else as I wanted this beautiful stamp to do the talking.

Thank You

Here is a card that I have made for a Student Hygienist I saw at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London.  Thanks to her help I am now waiting to go on the remainder of my very long journey to mended jaws/teeth.

For my card I have used my Card Toonz Professionals CD (that used to be sold by Joanna Sheen).  Yes this octopus was supposedly a dentist but I have changed it to a hygienist by adding some hair and changing the colour of the trousers, mask and shoes!!  I have used the topper sheet and backing papers from the CD.

I have finished the card off quite simply with some ribbon, tag with stamped sentiment and embellishments from the CD - toothbrush, mirror and teeth.

Thank You

When on holiday recently a lot of our photos came out blurry.  We had swapped our details with a lovely couple we met on our tour and spent time with and they kindly copied their photos they took for us.  Yes the photos of my husband and I are blurry but we now have a lot more photos of where we have been which means so much to me.
As a special "thank you" I have made this card using some Artemio Ne York stamps that I bought to make a scrapbook with.  I stamped all over two pieces of card with the New York cab, dollar note, airplane, I love NY, apple, squirrel and hamburger.  The other two pieces had a New York skyline stamped onto them.  I inked around all with my Tim Holtz's Pumice Stone distress ink.
I have then added some photos onto the card and decoupaged some of them on the front page of the card.

I have finished the card off with a stamped sentiment, stitched ribbon ad some buttons.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Sentiments - Anything goes
Crafting by Designs - Give thanks
Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
