Cardmaking Tutorials, Support and Inspiration Facebook Group 3rd Birthday

Over at the Cardmaking Tutorials, Support and Inspiration Facebook Group there are some extra special celebrations going on for their 3rd birthday and the 2nd anniversary of the A Perfect Time to Craft Challenge Blog.  That is a wonderful achievement.

In celebration of this there is a "in group only" mini challenge.  This challenge is sponsored by ALL of our 8 sponsors:

What is the prize you ask?  It is all of the above which is amazing.  Thank you so very much to all our sponsors.

I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and edged the image with Tim Holtz's Gathered Twigs distress inks.

The backing papers are from The Works.

Wishing you a Wonderful Christmas Time

Here are two Christmas cards I have made using images from the Bugaboo Digital Stamps "Goofy Snowmen Set".  Both of the images I have coloured using Promarkers and edged around the image with a brown VersaMagic chalk ink pad.
The shabby style backing papers are from Bearlymine Designs (sadly no longer available).  For both cards I have put a piece of kraft card through a snowflake embossing folder and inked the edges with the brown VersaMagic ink pad.

As these will need to be posted I have finished the cards off with some die-cut glitter snowflakes, Stickles glitter glue to the snowman's hat in the first card, Glossy Accents to the eyes of the snowmen and stamped sentiments.

Especially for You

I have made this card for a friend to cheer them up whilst we are going through such a tough time in the world.  I thought I would use this Bugaboo image from the Chihuahua Puppy Set (which includes two other images).  I thought this little chihuahua springing up inside a cup would cheer anyone up.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, chalked the background for a very subtle effect and used a brown Versa Magic chalk ink pad around the edge.

The main paper/card I used for the card was from a set of DCWV paper pad that my son gave to me.  I thought this backing paper with coffee beans on it was perfect for the job - although looking at all those coffee beans made we want some "proper" coffee!!

A while back I won a challenge but unfortunately my prize never arrived.  Some weeks later a package arrived and inside was a Studiolight set of dies and some stamps as the person was disappointed I had not got my first prize.  This was so nice of her.  I have used the Studiolight dies for the first time.  I'm not sure if they are supposed to make a little journal but I made into a card.  I loveeeeeeeeeeeee the "ripped out of a book edge" and will certainly use that more.

I used some texture stamps on the inside around the writing mount I did with the die and you can see this stamping through the ripped edge.
Here is a view of the card standing up on the ripped edge.

I have finished the card off with some John Lockwood greenery die-cuts, John Lockwood Lattice Flowers die-cuts (one out of plain brown and the top layer from scraps of the coffee bean card), a die-cut sentiment (that sentiment "especially for you" keeps making me hum the song by Kylie Minogue and Jason Donavon!!), Glossy Accents to the chihuahua's eyes/nose/tongue and finally some dots in the centres of the flower and on the image background with my Viva Decor bronze pen.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Love to Scrap - Anything goes
Love to Craft - Anything goes
Creative Fingers - Anything goes
Crafts Galore Encore - Anything goes

Two Bugaboo Christmas Cards

Here are two fun Christmas cards I have made.  Both are using Bugaboo Digital Stamps.

My first card using the Bugaboo image called "Reindeer Blocks".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.

I have used some backing paper from my stash, some glitter card from Hobbycraft and I have put some blue card through a snowflakes embossing folder for some more added interest.

I have finished the card off simply with some sequins so it is thin enough to be posted come December time.
My second card using the Bugaboo image called "Snowmen Trio".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.

Again I have used backing paper from my stash, glitter card from Hobbycraft and I have used a Christmas word border embossing folder to add some interest.

I have finished the card off with some ribbon, sequins and a Creative Expressions Lisa Horton stamped sentiment (I have wanted these for such a long time but I recently saw the everyday and Christmas sentiment stamps sets reduced on the Hunkydory website so I couldn't miss out on them!!)

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 4 October 2019

It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".
This week we are lucky to be sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.
For my Christmas card I have used the Bugaboo image called "Christmas Moose Ornaments".  I have loaded the image into Craft Artist and flipped horizontally the image so I have two moose facing outwards so I could put the sentiment in the middle.  I have coloured the images in with Promarkers.

The backing papers I have used are from my Polkadoodles Here Comes Christmas CD.

For a bit of interest under the image I die-cut little tags from all of the green backing paper scraps I had and laid them out and added red Nuvo pearl drops to the centre.  I have finished off with a LOTV digital sentiment.

I have kept the card simple and thin so it can be posted!!

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Left-hand side moose - Sandstone, Cinnamon, Caramel, Sunflower and Gold
Right-hand side moose - Soft Peach, Tan, Henna, Sunflower and Gold
