To the Happy Couple

It has been a busy time recently with going away for 2.5 weeks on holiday to three different areas of the UK with our touring caravan to see family and friends, my husband's Long Service Award Dinner (for 30 years' service with his company) and our eldest son got married.  It was a lovely day for them.  I knew I had to make a special card but my health is not "playing ball" at the moment so it took weeks to plan/make this card.

I recently bought Debbi Moore's Art Deco match-it pad and matching die-set so I could use the images and dies for my card for the two grooms and the corner dies.  They got a puppy recently called Benji but sadly he could not come to the event so I retrieved a photo of him, shrunk it down and added him to the card and matching box.

I utilised a verse that I got a long time ago when I first started crafting but thought it was a beautiful addition to the card.

My stopper for the easel card is a gorgeous Prima flower and gem display which I won in a challenge earlier this year.  I had to save it for a special card so our son's wedding card was perfect to use it on.

As my card was a "little" chunky I made up an 8x8 box that I bought some years ago and decorated it in-keeping with the card and added Benji to the box as well.

I am entering this card and matching box into the following challenges:

Mix it Up - Anything goes with the option of a 3D project
Through the Purple Haze - Anything goes with the option of for men

Happy Anniversary

For my anniversary card I have used a Debbi Moore Art Deco match-it pad and matching die.  I also used it for a recent wedding card but it's amazing to see how the cards differ even with using the same images.

I have used one of the scenes from the match-it pad for the images to go on and the backing papers have come from one of my Debbi Moore CDs but for the life of me I cannot remember which one!!

I have finished the card off with some ribbon and some large gems.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Season's Greetings

Here is a Christmas card that I made a while back but had not posted on my blog.

This is a traditional Christmas card.  For the backing papers and the phrase banner I have used my Debbi Moore Nativity CD that I go back to time-and-time again.  I used a piece of copper card and put through a Crafter's Companion distress embossing folder for some texture.

The die-cut images were from a Nativity set from Crafter's Companion.  I cut out all the images in black and then brushed around with a copper gilding polish.

As I wanted the made scene to be the focal of the card I have just finished off with some gems for the three wise men's gifts and another sentiment I had in my stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 1 October 2021

Today is a sad day for me as due to life/health issues I have decided to step down from two Design Teams to give myself a little time to get in a better place.

Thank you to Ruth for running such a friendly Design Team that I have been on for 4 years since October 2017.  Thanks also to my fellow DT members.  I shall miss being part of the DT but I think it fair to give my slot on the DT to someone who can 100% fully commit.

It is time though for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The weekly topic is always "anything goes".

This week we are lucky to be sponsored by "Polkadoodles".

For my card I have used the fun image called "Hooray - Sparkle Unicorn" digital stamp from Polkadoodles.  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers and highlighted areas with my Sakura clear stardust pen and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Peacock Feathers distress ink.

The backing papers are just scraps from my stash.

I have finished my card off with two different ribbon, flower, gem and a die-cut sentiment.

A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge Blog - October 2021

Today is a sad day for me as due to life/health issues I have decided to step down from two Design Teams to give myself a little time to get in a better place.

Thank you to Anne for running such a friendly Design Team that I have been on since April 2020.  Thanks also to my fellow DT members.  I shall miss being part of the DT but I think it fair to give my slot on the DT to someone who can 100% fully commit.

Today sees a new challenge over at the A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge Blog.

The topic is always "ANYTHING GOES" and you are allowed unlimited entries into the challenge.

This month our sponsor is "The Hungrey JPEG".

For my card I have used elements from the "Christmas Backgrounds", "Christmas Reindeers", "North Pole" and "Santa's Present Delivery".

I took the background, reindeer stables, Santa with his sleigh and the Reindeer Stables sign into Craft Artist so I could lay it out as a scene, adding a sentiment, and then I could copy the stable and reindeer three times so I could decoupage the main image.

The backing paper is from a "Here Comes Christmas CD" by Polkadoodles.

I have simply finished off the card with the sentiment, white flower soft for a snow effect and some sequins.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

CD Sunday Plus - Anything goes (digital images used as well as paper from a Polkadoodles CD)
We Love to Create - Anything goes
