Happy New Year

Here is a card I have used using a Sweet Pea Stamps image called "Definance" by Charmaine Flannery.  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers, tore around the image and then inked with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo distress ink.

The backing papers I have used are from Bearly Mine Designs "Simply Stripes" and "The Boys Zone".  If you haven't heard, Bearly Mine Designs is shutting down at the end of the year so Donna is having a 50% off sale at the moment on digital sets so hurry on over and grab a bargain.
I have used a Dutch Doobadoo clock stencil and popped it through my Grand Caliber to get the embossed effect and then brush over a yellow Pan Pastel and edged with a brown Pan Pastel and cut out.  I have only used one of the sides of the clock.  You'll have to wait and see what I did with the other half!!

I have used my Visible Image "Time after Time" stamps and stamped the word "time" on some card and stamped the clock face onto the yellow Simply Stripes backing papers.

I have finished the card off with some lace, some ribbon I won at my recent craft crop, stamped sentiment and some X-cut die-cut cogs which I have coloured with my Promarkers.

Glitter, glitter everywere!!!

Over at the I love Promarkers Challenge Blog the topic this week is "no patterned papers".
I had some lovely white wide net from Buckwell Crafts Supplies and since I got I knew what I wanted to try out again so this challenge prompted me to do it.

I cut a piece of card and cut a piece of double-sided sticky paper and adhered one side to the card.  I then removed the top layer and cut a piece of the white wide net and placed on top.  Next I poured over some silver glitter and used the top layer of the sticky paper to push the glitter in well.  I removed the excess and tapped for a while to remove any more glitter.  I then removed the piece of netting (which of course can be used for more projects) and then poured over some fine white glitter and again pushed it in well and then removed the excess.  What you are left with is a lovely glittery piece of card and sparkly glitter around your work area if you are anything like me!!

The image that I have used for my card is called "Ashleigh" and is from Crafter's Companion Scruffy Little Cat series.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Milled Lavender distress ink.

I have just done some simple matting and layering with lilac and silver card and finished the card off with a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some gems.
