Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 23 September 2016

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "SYMPATHY/THINKING OF YOU/THANK YOU".

This week the Design Team have the topic of "anything goes".
As you can see I have made a Pocket Letter.

I have definitely fallen in love with making these.

I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik images "Little Sparkles", "Little Talks" and "Gentleness".

I have coloured the images in with Promarkers and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo distress ink.

I have used various stamps for the remaining pocket letter fronts.

I have used a scroll/flower/leaf stencil and spread Dutch Doobadoo texture paste through it.  When I moved off the stencil I sprinkled some brown glitter on top.

These pocket letters have been finished off with flowers cut from some backing paper, brads, lace, ribbon, punched leaves, die-cut sentiment and a wooden snail and ladybird embellishment.
Here are the back of the pockets which include buttons, charms, flowers, wired leaves, stamp, die-cut leaves, gems, pearls and the most important part, the letter.

I am entering this pocket letter into the following challenges:

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 19 August 2016

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "LET'S GO NEUTRAL" ie white, cream, browns or greys.

This week the Design Team have the topic of "anything goes".
As you can see I have made a Pocket Letter.  I love making these.

I have used the images called "Petals of Rainbow", "Enter the Woods", "Hello Magnolia" and "Come Softly".  I have coloured the images in with Promarkers and inked around the edges with Tim Holtz's Victorian Velvet distress ink.

I have used various stamps for the remaining pocket letter fronts.

The two butterflies in the front are metal butterflies which I have coloured with alcohol inks and once dry I rubbed over some Stickles glitter glue.

The two butterflies at the bottom are made of acetate.  I have coloured the acetate with the same alcohol inks as the metal butterflies, then I have cut the butterflies out, added some Stickles glitter glue and adhered to the front of the pocket letter for something different.
Here are the envelopes on the back.  They include ribbon, confetti, pearls, a rubber stamp, gems, fabric butterflies, die-cuts, sequins and the all important letter.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog - Kym's Inspiration Post - Monday 21 December 2015

It is time for me to show you my Inspiration Post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "a birthday card".
A friend earlier in the year sent me a "Pocket Letter".  I'd not heard of these and how do a little research about them.  Pocket Letters were an idea of Janette Lane and it has taken off worldwide.  Why not visit her blog here and have a look.
For this weeks' inspiration post I am showing you my very first Pocket Letter.
I started off with cutting 9 pieces of watercolour card to 3.5 inches x 2.5 inches.  I then used a red Pan Pastel, an oxide green Pan Pastel, the blender Pan Pastel and the Coarse Medium Pan Pastel to make the backdrop for the images and stamped images/sentiments.

I have used four different Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamps - Aurora Woods, Christmas Venice Night, Winter Warmth and Gentleness.  I have coloured all the images with my Promarkers and added highlights of Stickles glitter glue.

Behind the back of all the digital stamp images, stamped images and sentiments are all little goodies for the recipient including a handwritten letter by me.

I am entering this Pocket Letter Christmas creation into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Stars (star on the Christmas tree at the bottom)
As You Like It - Favourite Christmas colours and why (I don't mind seeing different colours at Christmas but I prefer the more traditional colours of red, green and gold as they are more festive and remind me of trees, holly, baubles and a gold star above Bethlehem)
