Delicious Doodles Challenge is back with a Blog Hop

Today is a happy day for Teri and all the Design Team members of Delicious Doodles as we are back.  The Delicious Doodles Store shut at the end of December 2014 due to the new EU ruling on VAT that came in on 1 January 2015.
Thankfully Teri has managed to set up a Delicious Doodles Etsy Shop where her images can be purchased and this means the Delicious Doodles Challenge is up-and-running.

The challenge will run on a monthly basis and the first challenge topic is "anything goes".

To celebrate the re-starting of the Challenge Blog we are having a Blog Hop but you MUST enter the challenge in order to be in with a chance of winning the prize of the Blog Hop.

What is a Blog Hop?
You will see a list below and you will work your way through the list visiting the Design Team members and commenting on their card/creation and then you move onto the next person on the list.

Here is the order of the Blog Hop:

The prize for the winning comment from the Blog Hop will win an amazing 6 images of their choice from the Delicious Doodles images from the Etsy Store.

Now who wouldn't want to win that?  There are run-of-the-mill images but then there are those "on the darker side" images so plenty for all tastes and ages.

If you are looking at my card (Kym Upshaw) you will have visited the blog of Lozzy Tickner.
For my card I have used the Delicious Doodles image called "Beautiful Blossom".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and highlighted the centres of the flowers with Tim Holtz's Spiced Marmalade Distress Stickles.

I decided to go for a bright and cheery colour scheme of orange, yellow and green and I have used backing papers from Summertime Designs.

I have finished the card off with a butterfly edge die-cut (I love this die and it cuts like a dream through my Cuttlebug), die-cut butterfly coloured over with chalks, die-cut sentiment, flowers, gems, ribbon, doily and a button.

Thank you for taking part in the Delicious Doodles Blog Hop.

Now you have visited my blog the next blog for you to visit is that of Avril Watson.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group May Challenge - Flowers in bloom

Over at the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group the challenge for May 2015 was "flowers in bloom" and you had to use the free image provided by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Carnation Love".
For my seaside inspired card I have used the free image "Carnation Love" and coloured the image in with my Promarkers and then fussy cut the image.

I have used a sea/sky backing paper from my Joanna Sheen Faye Whittaker CD.  I tore some card and then chalked over to represent mounds of sand.

I then die-cut various shells, seagulls and foliage and again chalked over these with a yellow and beige chalk.  The flowers I made by printing off some papers from Summertime Designs back-to-back so that when I used a rose flower die from the recent Simply Cards and Papercrafting CD I had colours both sides.  Personally I don't like to see on cards flowers that have been made with white undersides so I make sure I print back-to-back or colour/stamp on the other side.

I have then finished the card off with some real tiny shells and some pearls.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Progressive Challenge Part 2

It is time for the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Progressive Challenge Part 2.  If you took part in Part 1 you would get the image free to use for Part 2.  If you didn't take part you can always head on over to the Sweet Pea Stamps Shop and purchase the image yourself.

I decided to use the free image this month that is by Sandra Caldwell and called "Steampunk Old Lady" and make it into a corner bookmark to highlight my next page to fold in my second book that I am bookfolding.
I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers, inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo distress ink and then went around the whole backing with my gold metallic Pan Pastel to add some shimmer.
The backing papers were scraps from the scrap box.

I have finished the corner bookmark off with a tassel, brads and flowers from my Debbi Moore Steampunk  Double CD.

I am entering this corner bookmark into the following challenges:

Happy Father's Day

Here are two Father's Day cards I have made for the boys to give to their dad.  They never ask for them.  I just make them and they just pay up some money to go towards charity - well they wouldn't go into a shop and just get a card for free!!!
This first card is using a decoupage sheet, backing paper and matching insert from the Debbi Moore Floral Moments Decoupage CD.  This CD is perfect to use for their dad for Father's Day as he loves his garden albeit it being an elevated garden which he has terraced into beds himself.  I have finished the card off with a sentiment off the computer, tied ribbon and some pearls.
For my second card I have used a design sheet and backing paper from my recent Debbi Moore Bringing Inspiration To You Magazine Issue 25.  Our youngest son, my husband and myself love to watch to watch Formula 1 so this is a perfect card.  I have used some backing papers also from my stash.  I have finished the card off with some die-cut cogs which I have edged with a brown Pan Pastel, ribbon and some buttons.

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

613 Avenue Create - Anything goes with the option of teacher/educator creation
Craft Your Passion - Always anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes
Inspiration Destination - Anything goes
Penny's Paper Challenge - Anything goes
