Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 18 July 2022

Today is the day for me to show you another creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.

Our challenge each month is "ANYTHING GOES".

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my last inspiration card for July I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Save the Tears" as I thought it was perfect for a thinking of you card I needed.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked the background.

The backing papers are all from my scraps folder.  With the piece of blue card I put it through a dandelion embossing folder and then used a file to scrape off the blue top of the card to reveal the white core.  I gutted some of the blue backing papers and used the paper with my dandelion dies and inked the edges.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment from a magazine, ribbon and some sequins in the centre of the embossed dandelions.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The backing papers must for been bought 8-9 years ago by my sons.  They are so nice I didn't want to use but what is the use of them just sitting on my shelf?  I have used my Tim Holtz distress guillotine around the edge of all of the papers and the toppers.

The card has been finished off with some wide blue ribbon, wide lace, three flowers, sentiment and some Sentimentally Yours pearls (which are more than yummy!!).

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 6 July 2018

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

The challenge topic for July 2018 is "THANK YOU/SYMPATHY".

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.
I have chosen to make a sympathy card.  With my sympathy card I make them very simple as personally I do not feel it is the time to make cards with lots of embellishments.

For my card I have used the partially coloured Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Love Message".  I have just simply added some beige chalk to the background as white card did not match the other papers I have used.

The backing papers I have used are from various magazines from Debbi Moore and Sara Davies from Crafter's Companion.

I have finished the card off very simply with some organza ribbon, flower ribbon, stamped sentiment and some pearls.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes

Here is a "Thinking of You" card I have made using Joanna Sheen's Heavenly Cards CD (sadly this has been retired but it has proved to be a very useful CD).

I always keep thinking of you/with sympathy cards very simple so I have used a topper sheet, backing paper and insert from the CD.  The lilies are decoupaged up.

I have finished the card off very simply with a ribbon bow and pearls.

Thinking of You Cards

Sadly there are times when we all need Thinking of You/With Sympathy cards.  For my cards I have used for the last few years some images by Rebecca Sinz that were available at Sweet Pea Stamps.  Unfortunately Sweet Pea Stamps has closed but I have found that the images are still available to purchase from ElvenstarArt Tube Shop.
For the first card I have used the image called "Despair"
For the second image I have used the image called "Hope".

Both images have been coloured with my Spectrum Noir pens.

Personally I don't find it respectful going for lots of embellishments on sympathy/thinking of you cards so both cards have been finished off with some lace, pearls and some ribbon.

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations - Anything goes and option of a sketch
Crafting for all Seasons - Ribbons and pearls

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog - Kym's Inspiration Post - Monday 9 March 2015

It is Monday and therefore time for me to show you an inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.
For this weeks' inspiration post I chose the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Peony Kimono Maiden" to work with.  I decided I wanted a Spring-like feel card and went for tones of orange, yellow and green as that reminds me of tulips and daffodils springing up in the Spring time.  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and made the background with a a turquoise blue, pink, green and yellow Pan Pastel and used the Pan Pastel blender to blend it all together.

The backing papers I have used I printed off about a year ago from Summertime Designs.

I have finished the card off with a lace bow, button, Lea'bilites tiny die-cut flowers, die-cut butterfly, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment, Perfect Pearls, spotty grossgrain ribbon and some twine.

It is Friday and therefore time for another challenge over at the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog.  The topic this week is "remembrance/thinking of you".  These can be some of the most difficult cards to make but so important cards to show you care when someone is going through a very tough time.
For my card I have used the Delicious Doodles image called "Weeping Angel" which Teri over at Delicious Doodles designed as a freebie nearly two years ago.  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.

The backing papers were a magazine freebie by NitWits.

I have used a Marianne Designs honeycomb embossing folder and matching die for the image to sit on.

The card has been finished off very simply with a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment, some lovely pink textured 25mm Veletta ribbon and some 5mm cream pearls from Buckwell Craft Supplies.

If you entered the challenge and want to find out if you are a winner you need to pop on over to the blog and see.

You will also see that the topic for November's challenge is "add some ribbon".

Today is my inspiration day for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps and Inspiration Blog.

As Remembrance Sunday will soon be here I decided to use a Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp from her Etsy Store called "Crimson Moon".  I have coloured with image in with my Promarkers and inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Peeled Paint distress inks.

The backing paper, border strips and poppies that I have cut out were a freebie from Jak Heath some time ago.  I thought they matched the image perfectly.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment off the computer, some gorgeous 10mm red stain ribbon and some 8mm cream pearls.

Thinking of You

For my card I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Rebecca Sinz called "Despair".  It is available as a digital stamp and a rubber stamp.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.  I have inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Old Paper distress ink.  I keep my sympathy/thinking of you cards very plain and neutral as I do not think it's a respectful time for lots of colour and embellishments.  It's just a  personal thing I know.

The backing papers are from a Wellington paper pad and my beloved Tim Holtz paper pad which is slowing disappearing.  I have used a Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die and cut some flowers out of a book and coloured half with a Sandstone Promarker and the other half with a Tan Promarkers.  They are then scrunched and a brad added to the centre to hold them together.  I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment tag which I have stamped "thinking of you" onto, pearls, gorgeous crochet lace and some ribbon.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Inspiration Destination - Anything goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
