Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 28 August 2018

  Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

Today is a VERY sad day for me as I have made the difficult decision to leave the Lemon Shortbread Design Team.  

I've had a wonderful year creating cards/other projects with Vera's amazing images she creates for her Lemon Shortbread Etsy Store.  

Thank you so much Vera and Dewi for having me.  I've enjoyed my time and am sad it has had to finish.

Onto my last card as part of the Lemon Shortbread Design Team.

 For my birthday card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Orchid Lady".  I have coloured her in using Promarkers.

The backing papers are from a set from my friend Lozzy called "It's all about stripes".

I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment, doily, ribbon (dark purple and sitting underneath the lace), lace, various flowers, Sue Wilson die-cut greenery and some gems.

The Promarkers that I have used are: 

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal 
Hair - Cocoa, Cinnamon and Raw Sienna

Flowers/greenery - Purple, Amethyst, Orchid, Gold, Bright Green and Forest Green.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 14 August 2018

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

 For my birthday card I have made I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Butterfly Point Fairy".  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers.

The backing papers I have used are from Debbie Moore's Inspiration Magazines and some from Joy! Crafts.

I have finished the card off with a die-cut half doily, two different ribbons, die-cut flowers from the same backing papers, pearl brads, stamped sentiment and some die-cut greenery.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 31 July 2018

Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

Oh me oh my this card has been a nightmare to photograph and I am still not happy with it now.  The camera with/without the flash is just bouncing off the pearlescent coating of the card and also the sentiment.

For my card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Dandelions".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and fussy cut her out.

The backing paper I have used is from a Debbi Moore Inspiration Magazine which thankfully matched the image perfectly as I coloured her up before picking the paper.  Normally I pick the paper and then colour the image to match.  What do you do?

I have used a piece of Centura pearl card and embossed with a dandelion embossing folder and sanded back to the core.

I have finished the card off with some flowers with brad centres, ribbon (underneath the lace), lace and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 17 July 2018

  Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

I have decided to make another Christmas card to save the panic at the end of the year to make them.  

For my card I have used this gorgeous digital stamp from Lemon Shortbread called "First Snowflake".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, added Stickles glitter glue to the snowflake and used a rubber stamp to stamp "tis the season".

The backing papers I have used are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a snowflake ribbon and die-cut snowflakes with Stickles glitter glue added to the centre.  It's sad when we have to keep embellishments to a minimum/flat due to postage but that is what we have to do if we want to post Christmas cards to our family and friends.

The Promarkers I have used are:

Hair - Khaki, Pastel Beige and Putty

Coat/boots/hat - Leaf Green, Forest Green, Bright Green, Putty and Henna.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 19 June 2018

Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

For my birthday card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Sailor Dress".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked the background with pearlescent chalks for a subtle effect.

I recently won a Creative Crafting World Challenge and my prize was a set of 2 CDs, the Lace Collection Volume 1 and 2.  The papers are gorgeous so I have used a dotty/lace one and a stripe/lace one.

As the little girl was holding a sunflower I have used some stamps I got with a magazine last year as I had to have it as I loveeeeeeeeee sunflowers.  I stamped the sunflowers, coloured with Promarkers, used a pearl dimensional pen for the centre of the flower and cut out and cut down between every 2-3 petals so I could curl for more dimension.  I used a greenery die I got from a friend for Christmas and finally used a stamped sentiment to finish off the card.

Hair - Henna, Walnut and Raw Sienna

Dress/socks/shoes - Denim Blue, Cyan, Azure, Poppy and Crimson

 I need to keep up with making Christmas cards throughout the year so I have a Christmas card using the Lemon Shortbread image called "Winter Package".  I have coloured my image with Promarkers, added Stickles glitter glue to the fur on her coat and then fussy cut out the image.

 For my bright and cheery birthday card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Butterfly Meadow".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.

I have used a die-cut butterfly card which I bought in a sale some years back so it is about time to start using them.

I have finished the card off with some washi tape, die-cut Joanna Sheen butterflies, small bought white flowers, two sunflower-style flowers made by a fellow crafter in Canada, Dawn Bibby Designs gems and a die-cut sentiment.

 For my birthday card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Flower Wave".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked the background with pearlescent chalks.

The backing papers are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a doily die-cut coloured with Tim Holtz's Squeezed Lemonade distress ink and some narrow pink ribbon threaded through, various die-cut flowers with Nuvo pearlescent drops to the centre, pink raffia-style ribbon, die-cut sentiment, decorative K and Co brad and I have stamped a Chloe's Cards swirly stamp onto acetate, heat embossed and cut out.
