Guest Designer for Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog

I was recently asked to be a Guest Designer for Jan's Digi Stamps for September 2023.

I have been away and I thought my post was scheduled for 16 September 2023 but I had not pressed the "publish" button.  It is a long time since I did that but I could not rectify it whilst I was away but I am now publishing my card now.

Last month I was delighted when I saw that I was Jan's Digi Stamps Guest Designer for September 2023.  I was given the topic of "Fall/Autumn" and was able to pick an image from Jan's Digi Store.  Oh my goodness me there are wonderful images in the store and quite diverse but I was spoilt for choice.  In the end I chose "Harvest Scarecrow".

I used one of the large sentiments as a backing paper in Craft Artist and added the gorgeous scarecrow and sentiments.  I also printed out the scarecrow 3 times along with some of the flowers so I could fussy cut and decoupage.

I have simply finished my Autumn/Fall card with some glitter glue on the centre of the flowers and some of the pumpkins.

Guest Designer at Through the Purple Haze

I was lucky recently to be asked to be a Guest Designer at the Purple Haze Challenge Blog.

The sponsor for the challenge is Moonflower Digital Stamps.

For my card I have used the Moonflower Digital Stamps image called "Candy Faery".

I have coloured my image in with Promarkers, used my Crafter's Companion clear sparkle pen to her wings (as a fairy needs sparkly wings) and the gorgeous hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows has some baking candy strips).

The backing papers are all from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a border, Lili of the Valley digital sentiment and some buttons.

Guest Designer for the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog

 I recently won a challenge over at the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog and I was asked if I would like to be a Guest Designer for January.  I used to be on their Design Team so I immediately said "yes".

The topic for the challenge for January is "Winter".

For my Winter inspired birthday card I have used the Delicious Doodles image called "Olyvia with Owl".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and added some Stickles glitter glue on the fur of her coat.

For the backing I used various inks and stamps to design my own backing card.  I used a Tim Holtz mixed media die to cut hexagons out of the backing card and the insert some back in on foam pads.  I then die-cut some other hexagons out of some blue card.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment, Sue Wilson die-cut greenery and a flower made out of tissue paper, held together with a brad and Stickles glitter glue added for some extra sparkle.

Promarkers used:

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair - Burnt Sienna, Sandstone and Khaki

Coat/Dress - Duck Egg, Denim Blue, Pastel Blue, Blue Pearl and China Blue
Bird - Khaki, Saffron, Sandstone and Vanilla.

Guest Designer Role for the Crafty Catz Design Team - October 2017

For my card I have used the All Dressed Up image called "Just so cool".  I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and added Glossy Accents to her glasses.

The backing papers I have used are from my Creative Crafting World "Here Come the Girls" CD.

I have finished the card off with some stamped music using Versafine Deep Lagoon ink, organza ribbon, velvet ribbon and some card candi.

Guest Designer Role for the Crafty Catz Design Team - October 2017

 Here is my second post as Guest Designer for the Crafty Catz Challenge Blog.

The topic this week on the Crafty Catz Challenge Blog is "Autumn colours".

 This week the sponsor we have is Bugaboo Stamps.

For my male orientated card this week I have used the Bugaboo Stamps "Frame it - One day at a time image".   I have coloured my image in with Promarkers, die-cut the image with a stitched The Works die and added some VersaMagic brown chalk ink pad.

The backing papers I have used are from a Debbi Moore Designs Inspiration Magazine and a Hobbycrafts Christmas paper pad.

I have finished the card off with die-cut cogs, die-cut clock, Tim Holtz rosette die, die-cut button, stamped sentiment, stamped Visible Image clocks and a MDF clock key coloured with my Henna Promarker.

Promarkers used:

Guest Designer Role for the Crafty Catz Design Team - October 2017

I was delighted to be offered a Guest Desginer role for the Crafty Catz Design Team for October 2017.  Unfortunately with going away on holiday I could not take part until today.

This week the sponsor is Crafty Ribbons over at the Crafty Catz Challenge Blog.  Crafty Ribbons have a wonderful website of stunning ribbons and lots of other goodies.  Why not pop over and take a look?

 I decided to make a birthday card using a gorgeous La-La Land digital stamp called "Heart Cupcake Marci".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and edged the image with a red Versamagic ink pad.

The backing papers I have used are a glitter paper from Hobbycraft and some red and white spotty glittered card from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a flower made from a friend in Canada, two different gems, lace, spotty ribbon and a stamped sentiment.

Guest Designer for CCC Digi Creations Challenge Blog

I was recently asked if I would be a Guest Designer for the CCC Digi Creations Challenge Blog and of course I jumped at the chance.

Angie's Digital Stamps are the sponsor for the challenge of "3 of a kind".

I was given Angie's Digital Stamps "Little Lila with a Candy Cane" so I have made a traditional red and green Christmas card.

I have coloured my image in with Promarkers (note to self - as Christmas is looming fast I need to get some more of my red combination Promarkers or they'll run out on me and I haven't got any to replace them!!) and used Pan Pastels for the background.

The striped and candy cane backing papers I have used are from my Debbi Moore Santa Claus 2 CD-Rom.

For the challenge of "3 of a kind" I have used 3 different ribbons (extra wide wine organza, wide gold organza and a red/gold satin ribbon) and I have also triple embossed 3 candy canes from the backing paper, cut out and used as an embellishment.

I have finished the card off with a sentiment.

Through the Craft Room Door Challenge Blog - Guest Designer

I recently won a challenge over at the challenge blog "Through the Craft Room Door".  I was lucky to win some digital stamps but was also offered to be a Guest Designer for a week.  It didn't take me long to say "yes".

The challenge this week on "Through the Craft Room Door" is as usual "anything goes" and you can enter this challenge twice.

This week the sponsor is Sami Stamps.  There is a wonderful array of images on Sami Stamps to choose from.

Here in the UK we don't really go into Halloween but I don't need any excuse to have a "play" with Halloween images so I decided upon this image by Sami Stamps called "Halloween Kittie".  Isn't it wonderful?

I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers.  I then did the background with shades of grey, blue and black chalks and finally inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Stormy Sky and Black Soot distress inks.

The backing papers are from Summertime Designs which I have printed onto canvas paper for some texture.

A friend last year sent me some die-cut pumpkin shapes so I have used a piece of a blending mat I cut into an arc and my Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge distress inks to make the lines of the pumpkin and finished off with Crushed Olive for the stalks.

I have finished the card off with some spider ribbon, Martha Stewart punched out bats and a Halloween sentiment.
