Crafty Ann's Challenge - 15 February 2013 - Love Actually

It is time for another challenge over at Crafty Ann's Challenge.  This fortnight the challenge is "love actually".
I have made a different style folded card this time.  I have used the Crafty Ann's digital image of a bunch of roses called "Rosebud and Posy" and coloured the image in with my Promarkers (to colour these I used five different shades of red and four of green - yikes!!!).

The backing papers I have used are Crafty Ann's green polished stone and the red crumpled paper.
I have die-cut the image and then threaded through some twine.  I have die-cut some Marianne Designs hearts from the green polished stone paper and stuck them onto the red crumpled paper.  I have finished this card off with some punched hearts, Craftwork Cards sentiment and some Marinanne Designs corners.

Aud Sentiments Challenge - 14 February 2013 - Show us the sentiment on the inside

We had a lovely selection of entrants for the Aud Sentiments Challenge for the last fortnight.  Today sees the start of another challenge.  This time the topic is "show us the sentiment on the inside".
This fortnight we are lucky to be sponsored by Rick St Dennis.
Why don't you pop on over to Rick's Etsy Shoppe to have a look at his wonderful creations.
For my card I have used Rick St Dennis' image called "Flapper".  I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers, added Stickles, die-cut and then stamped around the image with a See D's dotty stamp and Tim Holtz's Broken China distress ink pad.
The backing papers I was given and is lovely and sparkly so I thought matched the image perfectly.  I used the same Broken China distress ink pad and my Inkylicious brush to colour the doily.  The card has been finished off with some feathers, ribbon, gems, Craftwork Cards sentiment and flowers.

One Stamp - Four Different Cards

Here is a selection of four cards that I have made with an owl from Stamp Addicts.  I have stamped the image, fussy cut, coloured in with Promarkers and added 3D googly eyes to the owls.  This card has been finished off with some lace, fibres, orange poinsettias, Craftwork Cards sentiment and Papermania Glitterations.
This card has been finished off with various pieces of card put through embossing folders, fibres, Craftwork Cards sentiment, paper flower, crochet flower made by a friend and a button attached with wire.
All the backing papers are from my stash.  I normally do ruffling of ribbon with the red tape but this time I have ruffled with Washi tape.  It does it so quickly and easily and if you go wrong you can unstick.  Perfect!!!  This card has been finished off with various paper flowers, brad, gems and Craftwork Cards sentiment.
For each of the images I have used my Promarkers to design the tree for the branch to sit on.  I have used a blue Pan Pastel for the sky and then used a See D's dotty stamp and Tim Holtz's Broken China distress ink pad.  This card has been finished off with some orange poinsettias, Craftwork Cards sentiment and Papermania Glitterations.

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

Here is a card I've made with one of my favourite Paper Shelter images of this cute little punk girl called "Punk Lolly".  I had some matching The Paper Shelter Papers (called Gothic Girl) and decided on a green and brown colour scheme.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers, die-cut and then added Sakura Stardust as sparkles around the image.  The papers I have distressed with my Tim Holtz distressing tool and then used a chalk ink pad on the edges.  Two scraps of card I have put through a dot and bark embossing folder.  The card has been finished off with some raffia ribbon, Bearly Mine Designs flowers with brads centres, Craftwork Cards sentiment, skulls cut out of one of the backing papers and some pearls.

Use it Tuesday Challenge - Guest Designer - Tuesday 12 February 2013

I recently won a challenge over at the Use it Tuesday Challenge Blog and was asked if I wanted to be a Guest Designer for today.  Of course my answer was "yes".  The challenge for this fortnight is to "use fasteners ie brads, buttons or eyelets".  To take part in the challenge you must let them know what items you are "using up" - and I know we all have craft items we should use rather than hoard.
For my card I have used papers from my stash (some of which I've had for 1-2 years) and the image is a pre-coloured image from The Next Big Thing CD-Rom.  I have added some ribbon, twine, brads, decorative clip (which I've had for about 2 years when these came in fashion - I think it's about time I used them up) and some buttons (my mum did sewing for a living when I was young and mainly whizzed up leather and suede clothes at one stage and therefore she had hundreds and hundreds of buttons so I have used some of them which must be 35+ years old!!)

I want to thank Siobhan and her Team for allowing me to be their Guest Designer this fortnight.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes with ribbon
Inspire me Friday - Anything goes
Natalie and Amy - Something old, something new (old is the buttons and new is the sentiment)

Card for a Boy

Well this was a "get messy" card.  I started off with using a yellow and brown Pan Pastel through a compass mask.  I highlighted the N, S, E and W with a fine liner.  I then used use a Tim Holtz harlequin stamp, Tim Holtz compass stamp and a Stamp Addicts dotty stamp to add some dimension to the backing paper.  I then made a pretend map by tear/scrunching a piece of paper, stamping with the dotty stamp and then adding colour with a brown Pan Pastel and inking the edges with a sepia Versafine ink pad.  The image I have used is called "Zombie Pirate" - all I will say is that I'd not want to meet him!!!  I have coloured the image with Promarkers and fussy cut.  The card has been finished off with an anchor and ships wheel charm which have been attached to the card with some extra long Tim Holtz brads.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Stamp with Fun - Brown

My Time to Craft - Guest Design Team Card - 9 February 2013

It's time for week two of my Guest Design Team Member for My Time to Craft.  The challenge topic for this week is "decoupage".  This can be traditional decoupage (decoupage you cut out or die-cut) or your own decoupage made from photos/stamped images etc.
For my thank you card I have used Debbi Moore's Art Deco Rome CD and have gone with a black and white colour scheme.  I have decoupaged the image which wasn't too bad as Debbi makes sure the background is now printed in land-locked areas which helps.  I have used some Marianne's Designs dies to mount the image and sentiment on.  The backing paper, flower embellishment and insert have all come from the CD.  I have finished the card off with a brad, twine, Craftwork Cards sentiment and Papermania Glitterations.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Bunny Zoe's Challenge - Anything goes
