Delicious Doodles Challenge and Etsy Store

At the end of December 2014 Teri had to shut the Delicious Doodles Store/Delicious Darkness Store and both their challenge blogs due to the new EU rulings on VAT.
The good news is that Teri now has an Etsy Store where she is selling her amazing images.
The even better news is that at the end of May 2015 there will be a Blog Hop to celebrate the start of the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog.

The challenge will be a monthly challenge.

It would be lovely if you can come and visit the challenge blog at the end of the month and to take part in the Blog Hop.

Just for You - There's No Place Like Home

Here is a New Home card I have made using my Joanna Sheen Holly Pond CD.  The recipient has a rabbit so I thought this image would be perfect.  I printed two sheets of the toppers, insert and two sheets of the backing paper to make the card.
Here is the insert that I have personalised with a sentiment and some spare toppers I printed off.
I don't very often show the inside/back of my cards but I do like to decorate the card through and through as it makes such an impact.

I have finished the card off with a gingham ribbon bow, die-cut flowers, bought roses, ribbon, lace and a Tando die-cut key which I won in a challenge (I have coloured the key with a dark green Promarker and then rubbed over it with my gold pearlescent Pan Pastel).

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says - Anything goes
Creative Inspirations - Cute critters
Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes with the optional twist to create something feminine

Wishing you a Magical Day Journal Page

Over at the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group, Fernanda the DT Colourist shared a video of how she coloured background of images with chalks and challenged those that watch to have a go.
For my journal page I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Karen Middleton called "Little Pink Fairie".  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers.  For the background I regularly use plain chalks, pearlescent chalks and Pan Pastels to make my backgrounds as I think they are more subtle than using inks/pens.  For my background I have used dark teal blue, teal blue, yellow and pink pearlescent chalks.  I prefer to blend my chalks in with a tiny corner of cotton wool pad to avoid oils from my hands or sometimes dirt from inks getting onto my project.
Here is a close-up of my image.  I used a clear sparkly Stickles glitter glue but can't understand why the wings have a bluey hue when it is a peachy colour below whereas the yellow/green butterfly still looks OK.

The backing papers I have used are Creative Crafting World Mix and Match CD.

I have finished the journal page off with some doilies coloured with the chalks, die-cut sentiment, washi tape, pearls and some die-cut butterflies with chalk on them.

I am entering this journal page into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments - Things with wings
Crafty Calendar - Things with wings

Robyn's Fetish - Anything but a card
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - Anything goes

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog - Kym's Inspiration Post - Monday 4 May 2015

Well it another month has whizzed by and we are now into May.  It only seems like yesterday I was listening to Gary Barlow's New Year's Eve show!!

It is Monday and therefore time for me to show you my Inspiration Post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "lovely lace".  It would be lovely if you could take part.
For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Purple Dragonfly".  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers and highlighted the fairy's wings and dragonfly wings with a purple glitter glue.  I printed out two images and coloured in so I could decoupage the fairy wings and the dragonfly wings.  The background around the image is a turquoise blue, green, white and purple Pan Pastel and all blended together with the colourless blender Pan Pastel.

The backing papers I have used are from my Creative Crafting World Mix and Match Papercrafting Collection CD.

I have finished the card off with some raffia ribbon, lace, little flowers, dragonfly charm, die-cut sentiment and some die-cut dragonflies (you see many butterfly dies around but this was the first dragonfly one I had seen so when Joanna Sheen brought it out in a set with two butterflies I had to have it.  I have cut a dragonfly out of turquoise card and another from a purple card and brushed over with my Wink of Stella clear sparkle pen).

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Today it is time for me to show you another card for the Gruffies and Guests Challenge Blog.

The topic for May 2015 is "anything goes with the option of die-cuts".  That's a nice easy challenge isn't it as lots of us love our die-cuts?

Don't forget you do have the option of anything goes plus if you do use the optional theme (this month it is "die-cuts") you will get 2 chances in the prize draw.

Don't forget to enter the challenge you MUST use a House Mouse, Happy Hoppers or Gruffies image.

We also take email entries, Facebook entries and if you fancy joining us on the team for a month please put GDT after your name in the linky.

Our sponsor for this challenge is from the Di's Digi Stamps:
The lucky winner will get $10 to spend in Di's Digi Stamps Store.
For my birthday card I have used my Joanna Sheen House Mouse Project Book and CD Volume One.  I have printed the decoupage sheets off from the CD but then used backing papers from my stash.

The die-cuts I have used are a Tattered Lace swirly border and an All Occasions small flower die (this die has three different flowers in the set so I have layered up with pink and cream layers).

The card has been finished off with the flowers, spider's web bow, Card Candi and a die-cut sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Buckwell's Crafty Challenge - May 2015 - Spots or stipes or both

Today is 1 May and therefore time for another challenge over at the "Buckwells Crafty Challenge".  The challenge topic is "spots or stripes or both".

Our sponsor this month is:
Challenge Sponsor
Joanne from "A Lil Digi Heaven".
Instead of making a card I decided to do another journal page.  For this page I have used the A Lil Digi Heaven image called "Coco".  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens and did the background with a brown, yellow, white, blender and coarse medium Pan Pastels.  I added Glossy Accents to her eyes and her goggles.  Around the edge I used a cog stamp from Visible Image (set is called Time after Time).
The backing papers were from Summertime Designs and a Debbi Moore Steampunk Double CD and I decided to include both spots and stripes. For the cog border along the middle I used a cog border mask, the packing from a Crafter's Companion textures embossing folder and inked over with Time Holtz's Gathered Twigs distress ink.

The cogs that were cut out were from Simon Says Stamp and although I think they were to be used in the acetate form I didn't. I put them through the Grand Calibur to emboss, brushed over with a brown Pan Pastel and then cut them all out.

The journal page has been finished off with a Visible Image sentiment, steampunk flowers/embellishments from the Debbi Moore Steampunk Double CD and two brads for the centres of the flowers.

I am entering this journal page into the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes
Simon Says - Anything goes
