It is time for another challenge over at the Jade's Sparkling Butterflies Challenge Blog.
This fortnight the topic is "LOTS OF LAYERS".
Our sponsor for this fortnight is Nikki from the "Fantasy Art of Nikki Burnette".
For my card I have used the Nikki Burnette image called "Telsa" and I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and fussy cut around the image.
For the blue background of my card I wet a piece of watercolour card and then sprinkled over Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powder in White Pearl and Blue Lagoon for some sparkle and shine. It didn't burst on the card as I thought it would so I had to resort to swizzing it around with a brush instead. Maybe I just need a bit of practice!! The other backing papers I have used are scraps from my stash.
I cut a frame and mount with a Spellbinders die and put them both through embossing folders (wood effect and distress effect). For the mount I then coloured it with a Promarker and then painted over the top with my Imaginations Starlight Pearl Paint for a more muted effect.
I have finished the card off with some spotty ribbon, Visible Image stamped sentiment, die-cut cogs and star brads.
