The ever so talented Ching-Chou Kuik has an
Etsy Store where she sells her digital stamps. She had a Design Team call for some new crafters to join her Design Team to help promote her stunning images. I was lucky enough to be chosen.
Since then an "Inspiration and Monthly Challenge Blog" has been set up and I have now got the role of Design Team Leader.
There will be a monthly challenge on the blog starting on the 1st day of every month.
Every few days you will see inspiration from the Design Team. On some days we will be showcasing cards that are entered into the challenge as well as cards/creations posted on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group. You will also see details of new releases or offers.
Today is the day for me to show you my inspiration card.
For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "
Big Pumpkin". I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens and used my Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Pearl Glaze over the pumpkin for some sparkle and shine. The image has then been fussy cut.
The graveyard and bat scene is a freebie from Bird's Cards called "
Graveyard Card Cover". She puts these templates free on her blog for people to use with their digital die-cutting machines. I don't have one of these so I had to do it by hand. It wasn't easy but I like the shadow effect of the orange layer underneath the black. I have cut the template out of some linen effect card. The bottom layer I have inked with Tim Holtz's Rusty Hinge distress ink. The top layer and the mount I have brushed over with my black Pan Pastel. I have painted all over the templates and mounts with the
Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer Pearl Glaze from Buckwell Craft Supplies and it's given it a wishy-washy effect which looks a bit spooky.
I have finished the card off by rubbing some white Pan Pastel onto the black background for moody/spooky clouds and added a sentiment that I typed on the computer.
