Crafty Ann's Challenge - 26 October 2012 - Christmas in October

Today is the start of another challenge over at the Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog this fortnight. The topic this fortnight is "Christmas is coming".
It is frightening how quickly Christmas seems to be coming upon us this year.  I have made twenty 4x4 Christmas cards.
The backing papers are all from Crafty Ann's Shop and I have matted and layered them in Craft Artist Professional. I have used polished stone and poinsettia papers.
All the toppers I have used are available at Crafty Ann's Shop and includes various styles of baubles, sentiment frame, Christmas tree globe and poinsettia.
All of the toppers have been cut out and added to the cards.
The cards have been finished off with peel-offs, Crafty Ann's ticket sentiments, Papermania Glitterations, peel-off sentiments and Crafty Ann's poinsettias which I printed off and cut out last year (in hindsight I think I cut out enough for maybe 2-3 years and not just one!!!)

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

One Stop Craft - Anything goes
One Stitch at a Time - Use a digi
Pile it on - Holiday, any holiday!
Inspire me Friday - Anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes
Cards Galore Monthly - Anything goes

Aud Sentiments Challenge - 25 October 2012 - Storybook

Time for another challenge at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog.  This time the topic is "storybook".
This fortnight we are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs.
I have used the Sassy Studio Designs image called "Pirate Penny" as I decided to go with a pirate storyline - well what children don't like pirates and treasures even if they are girls???  The treasure map is from Delicious Doodles and I have coloured it with Pan Pastels.  The backing paper I made myself with a "That Special Touch" Mini Compass Mask which I have embossed four times and coloured over with a brown Pan Pastel.  The image of Pirate Penny I have coloured with my Promarkers and distressed the edges.  The card has been finished off with a "happy birthday" sentiment, flag from a decoupage sheet, some shells, skull and ship's wheel.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Last Halloween Card

This card has been made with a cute bear image from Stamp Fairy.  He has been coloured in with Promarkers and areas highlighted with my Sakura Stardust clear pen.  He was then die-cut and then I had an idea or use Pan Pastels through the waste of a star peel-off - slight snag there as I always pull off the waste so I can see what images I've got left on a sheet - but thankfully I found a star that I could take the centre out so I used my black Pan Pastel through it and at random on the checked backing paper.
The backing papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs Happy Hauntings.  The card has been finished off with paper flower which I have added black Promarker stripes to, brad, spider ribbon (only one small piece of this is left now so I'll have to keep a look out for some halloween ribbon for next year), Raindrop Echo sentiment, skull charm, black clips and buttons with black twine through them.

Christmas Fairy

Please excuse the awful photos I've taken lately.  I think I must have changed the settings by accident but need my husband sometime to look at the camera to see what I have done wrong!!!
The backing papers for this card are Bearly Mine Designs Christmas Traditions.  The image is by Whoopsi Daisy and is a gorgeous little fairy which I have coloured with Promarkers and added clouds with Pan Pastels.  The card has been finished off with a sentiment off the computer, card candi, lace and holly made with a Memory box holly die.

For this card the image has been stamped with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo distress ink pad, cut around the image and then the image has been coloured in with Lyra watercolour pencils.  I love my Promarkers/other pens but I still love watercolouring.  I have accented areas with my Sakura Stardust clear pen.

The backing papers are from Bearly Mine Designs Happy Hauntings and Bearly Mine Designs Mini Dots.  I have used a Martha Stewart lattice punch and an X-cut scroll punch for some interest.  The card has been finished off with some spider ribbon, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals flower cut from a book and coloured with shades of brown and green Promarkers and brad centre, card candi and Raindrop Echo Halloween sentiment.
