Happy Anniversary

Over on the Debbi Moore Designs Facebook page she does a live catch-up every Thursday where there are bargains to be had, ideas for cards/projects to be made and everyone has the chance on Friday to do a treasure hunt for a free kit each week.  A few weeks back there was a kit and I saw the image and I thought "anniversary card" and it was a friend's wedding anniversary so I used a topper sheet from the kit along with a backing paper from a Debbi Moore Design Inspirations Magazine.

I have finished the card off quite simply with a stamped sentiment, die-cut Eiffel tower, satin ribbon, mesh ribbon, decoupaged butterfly and a Prima flower.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy 50th Birthday Sister

Here is a wine bottle shaped card that I have made using an Arty Farty template.  The "air was a bit blue" at times as no matter how hard you try with a template you cannot get it 100% correct from one side to another so it was a case of taking bits off here and there.  That's where die shapes come in as they are 100% correct every time but with this card being A4 in height I dread to think how much a die like that would cost.

For the toppers, backing paper and sentiments I have used my Katy Sue Designs "The Wine Buffs" CD.  It took a while to pick what toppers I wanted but I got there in the end.
On the CD I found some "50" balloons so I printed them off and added some twine for the string.

I made myself a bottle tag by printing out a topper to use, die-cut a circle opening and then put it through a Crafter's Companion large dots embossing folder.

This card took me two days on-and-off to make.  I sneaked some "50" confetti that I used my "50" die from Joanna Sheen with some scraps of card and hey presto there is confetti everywhere that you don't have to pick up!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Get Creative - Anything goes with the option of the fair/carnival

A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge Blog - June 2021

Today sees the start of another challenge over at the A Perfect Time to Craft Open Challenge Blog.

The topic is always "ANYTHING GOES" and you are allowed unlimited entries into the challenge.

This month we welcome:

and

as our sponsors.

I chose to use the Dr Digis image called "Eunice the Unicorn".  I love anything fantasy related so Eunice spoke to me.  The real world we live in can be difficult, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic, so to escape into a fantasy world for a while is an absolute blessing.

I have coloured Eunice in with Promarkers and then used various texture stamps around the image for the background (well who knows if there are not large dots and stars in fantasy land???)

The backing papers are all 6x6 papers that I was given many years ago.  I am determined to use them up this year or next!!  I have inked around all the papers and image with Tim Holtz's Victorian Velvet distress ink.

I have finished my card off with die-cut circles, die-cut unicorns, grosgrain ribbon, narrow satin ribbon and a sentiments from my stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

World Wide Open Design Team - Anything goes
Krafty Chicks - All occasions

Happy Birthday

I wondered why my two posts did not go "live" last week when we were away.

I'd saved them as drafts and not published them - silly me eh?

I am still getting used to doing things differently with Blogger.

I have made this card using my gorgeous Pink Ink Designs giraffe stamp and stamped it onto coloured paper.  I then coloured in areas with my Promarkers.  I also stamped out the leaves and flowers from backing papers I had.

I decided that I wanted the giraffe poking out from behind a frame so I used a large Spellbinders die to die cut the shape out.  As I wanted to make sure it was in exactly the same place on all three layers I decided to stick the layers together and then die-cut.  That was a no-no because three layers on top of double-sided tape it would not cut the whole way through no matter what I did.  In the end I decided to lay the image over the back and cut which worked.  I then put the die back on the front and ran it through my Gemini and I managed to get the edge embossed again.  Lesson learnt!!

The digital papers I have used are from Summertime Designs (sadly no longer available).  For the back of the frame I used Pan Pastels to make a very delicate background and used some greenery stamps in the bottom corner.

I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment and the flowers and leaves I stamped and cut out.

I hope the recipient likes it.  I am sure she will.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Creatalicious - Anything goes with the option for a woman
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything goes
CD Sunday - Anything goes digital (digital papers used)
Creative Fingers - Anything goes
Aud Sentiments - Anything goes with a sentiment

Allsorts - Happy bright and sunny colours (wishing Allsorts a very happy 12th birthday.  It is such a wonderful achievement)

May all your dreams come true

I wondered why my two posts did not go "live" last week when we were away.  I'd saved them as drafts and not published them - silly me eh?  I am still getting used to doing things differently with Blogger.

I have made this birthday card for a friend.  She is not really into birthdays and that is why it does not say "happy birthday".

I have used a decoupage sheet from a Debbi Moore's Inspiration Magazine.  I thought this was a lovely calming image and also highlighted "getting on your bike" now that things are relaxing a bit more here in the UK.

The digital backing papers I have used are from Summertime Designs (sadly no longer available).

As I was able to hand deliver the card I could go a bit "over the top" with dimensional flowers.

I have finished the card off with some lace which I have threaded blue ribbon through, die-cut some butterflies from some scraps of backing papers I had, Sentimentally Yours die-cut tag, ribbon and a stamped sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Creatalicious - Anything goes with the option for a woman
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything goes
CD Sunday - Anything goes digital (digital papers used)

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Monday 17 May 2021

Today is the day for me to show you my creation for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group.

Our challenge this month is:

"MAGICAL WORLD eg fairies, dryads, mermaids, unicorns etc".

This week the Design Tean were challenged to "use yellow or orange or both".

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.

Well for this challenge I decided to use both yellow and orange.  They are not colours I really turn to, not sure why, as they worked well for this card along with some pink flowers.

For my birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Bunnies in the Garden".

I thought I'd have a go at using pencils to colour in this image.  Well it took me nearly a week every now and again doing a bit.  I've highlighted areas with my white gel pen.

The backing papers are from Summertime Designs (sadly no longer available).

I made a little dropped shadow border with my little hexagons die using black for the shadow and yellow above.  I did the same for the little bees - well a garden image would not be complete without insects would it?

I have finished the card off quite simply with some wide yellow satin ribbon, very bright orange lace and some yellow grosgrain ribbon and a die-cut sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Morgans Artworld - Anything goes

Happy Birthday Friend!

Here is a card I have made using a Debbi Moore freebie topper sheet and backing paper.  Isn't the rose and butterflies just gorgeous?  I printed the sheet off twice so I could do some extra decoupage - well that is where my first love with crafting came about.

I have used some glitter card to add some sparkle to my card.

I have simply finished the card off with flowers/sentiments/banners off the topper sheet, some posh lace and some gems.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
