House Mouse Heaven!!!

Here is House Mouse overload for you all!!

This is a selection of Christmas cards I have made over many months using my Joanna Sheen House Mouse and Friends decoupage sheets.

They all have a stamped background.

They all have an embossed border that was a freebie with a magazine.

They all have sentiments that came on the Joanna Sheen House Mouse decoupage sheets.

They have all had to be kept really flat so Papermania Glitterations were used to embellish so as it to keep the postage down.  I'm just hoping that they still look good without my normal embellishments!!!

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

Sweet Pea Stamps

Don't forget Sweet Pea Stamps can be bought from the Sweet Pea Stamps Shop.

Sweet Pea Stamps also has a:

Sweet Pea Stamps Design Team Blog - where there is daily inspiration for everyone to see

monthly challenge over at the "One Sweet Challenge"

Facebook page called "Sweet Pea Stamps" where you will see cards posted on the Design Team Blog and find out about new releases/sales

Facebook Group called "Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans" and you can join the Group and look at wonderful creations, gain tips/ideas and to have a natter.

I am on the Design Team for the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge.  This fortnightly challenge blog is run independently from Sweet Pea Stamps but Lynette kindly offers one digital image for the Random.org winner and one digital image for the winner that is chosen by the Design Team from those that use a Sweet Pea Stamps image.

Over in the Sweet Pea Stamps Shop there is a "Random Act of Kindness".  You can "send a friend a gift" for no specific reason ie just because, as a thank you or just to cheer someone up.  It means that you can send a gift voucher and the recipient can pick out a digital stamp of their own choice. It is a simple and an inexpensive way to show a "Random Act of Kindness".

Please enter:  "gift" in the coupon section at checkout. This will take off the shipping charge. We will then send them the voucher that they can use to pick out their digi.

The "Random Act of Kindness" MUST be ordered separately if ordering rubber stamps, as the shipping will need to be adjusted.

Come and join in the Sweet Pea Stamps fun!!!

Here are some details of some new digital stamps and rubber stamps out this week:

One Sweet Challenge – December 2013 – A Gift in Itself

It is start of another month and therefore time for another challenge over at One Sweet Challenge.  This month the topic is "A Gift in Itself" ie maybe a card like a present or a gift card or an actual gift item you can give to someone.

Here is the gift item I have made - a gift for a friend to put on their Christmas tree:
I decided to make a decorated bauble for the tree.  I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Holly Fairy".   It is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 21, Plate 60 - Holly Fairy comes on the multi-image plate with Poinsettia Fairy, Holly Night and Cherish Christmas).  The image has been coloured in with my Graph'it pens and I have inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Peeled Paint distress ink.

For the chipboard bauble I first added gesso.  I then tore up some gold/cream Christmas tissue paper a crafty friend gave me last year into pieces and used watered down PVA to stick the tissue paper onto the bauble.  Once dry I used a texture stamp by Sheena Douglass around the edge and all over the back of the bauble - well you can't leave the back messy in case the bauble swings around on the Christmas tree!!
Here is a close-up of the image by Ching-Chou Kuik.  Isn't she stunning?

I have finished the bauble off with some hanging thread, wooden bow which I have coloured with my red Graph'it pens, cheesecloth, die-cut holly and some gems as the berries.

Concetta Kilmer - Serenity

Here is a card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image called "Serenity" by Concetta Kilmer.  This image is available as a rubber stamp and also as a digital stamp.

I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers/Flexmarkers and highlighted areas with my Pan Pastels.  I have kept to a summery yellow colour scheme.

The backing papers are from what I have been given.  Around the image I used various See D's stamps to add some detail/frame the image.  I die-cut Tim Holtz's butterfly die and then coloured it with two shades of yellow Pan Pastel.  I have finished the card off with gems, satin edged organza ribbon, die-cut sentiment, die-cut butterflies and some flower buttons (yes these are buttons which I have taken the shank off and filed down the rough edge and I've had for maybe 2-3 years or more).
