Sweet Pea Stamps Progressive Challenge Part 2 - September 2015

I took part in Part 1 of the Sweet Pea Stamps Progressive Challenge for September and therefore got the image called "How do I Look" by Gabriella Szabo free.  Obviously if you didn't take part in part one you can always purchase the image from Sweet Pea Stamps to take part in part two.

I decided to go with pastel pinks and blue with a touch of green.  I have coloured my image in with my Promarkers and chalked the background.

The backing papers are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment, flowers made from the backing papers with brad centres, washi tape and Joanna Sheen confetti die-cut butterflies.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog - Kym's Inspiration Post - Wednesday 9 September 2015

It is time for me to show you my Inspiration Post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "the colours of Fall" eg yellow, orange, green and brown.  Your card/creation doesn't have to be Fall/Halloween related.  You just need to use the colours mentioned.
I decided to use the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Walk Unafraid".  I coloured the image in with my Promarkers.  I used some chalks for the moon and sky and then used a Brown Tint Pan pastel around the edge of the image.  I then went over the whole thing with my Coarse Medium Pan Pastel to add some sparkle and to give a bit of a muted appearance to it.

For the background I have used a piece of watercolour card, splodged on Tim Holtz's Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Shabby Shutters and Brushed Corduroy distress inks and then spritzed with water and allowed to dry.  I used a leaf stamp from IndigoBlu and Sheena Douglass and stamped with the same inks all around the edge of the card.  I used some of the leftover watercolour card and die-cut various leaf shapes and inked with Shabby Shutters distress ink around the outside.  I have used a Crafter's Companion Textures distress embossing folder and highlighted the embossing with my Shabby Shutters distress ink.

I have finished the card off with some ribbon, leaves and some gems.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Ooh La La Creations - Signs of autumn (to mean the signs of autumn are the changing colour of the leaves)
World Wide Open Design Team Challenge - Anything goes
Crafts Galore Encore - Anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything goes

Creative Moments - Anything goes/use a sentiment
Crafting Musketeers - Autumn colours

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group Monthly Challenge - September 2015 - Clean and Simple (CAS)

Today sees the start of another challenge over at the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group and time for you to see creations from the Facebook Design Team.
The challenge for September 2015 is "clean and simple (CAS)".  Yikes most of you say.  I did too but I have played along as well.
For my Halloween cards I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Exotic Night".  I have used the normal Halloween colours but decided to go for more muted tones.  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers, used Tim Hotlz's Stormy Sky and Black Soot distress inks around the edge and added some pearl dots.

Now for the "clean and simple" bit.  For "clean and simple" this generally means leaving a lot of white background and keeping embellishments to a minimum or not at all.

I scored around the edge of my card and then made a frame for my image using some Spellbinders dies.  I then used a Clearly Besotted Stamps Halloween sentiment and then did a doodle border around the edge.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Challenge - Anything goes
Create and Inspire - Anything goes
Inspiration Destination - Anything goes
Creative Inspirations - Anything goes with the option of a sketch
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes with the option of create your own challenge

Delicious Doodles Challenge - September 2015 - On the dark side

Today sees the start of another challenge over at the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog.  Teri's images can now be found in the Delicious Doodles Etsy Shop.

The challenge for September is "on the dark side".  This means you can use a darker style of images or just darker colours.
For my card I have used the Delicious Doodles image called "Skully Bishop Chess Piece" and I have coloured it in with my Promakers and used chalks and a gold Pan Pastel for the background.

The backing papers are from my stash.  I used a Crafter's Companion Textures stamp on some kraft card, put through an Embossalicious embossing folder and highlighted the embossing with my gold Pan pastel.

I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment, gold filigree ribbon, kraft buttons and brads.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration and Challenge Blog - September 2015 Challenge - The Colours of Fall

Today sees the start of another challenge over at the Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

This month the challenge is "The Colours of Fall" eg greens, orange, brown and yellow.  You don't need to make a Fall/Halloween card but just need to use the colours of the challenge.

To take part you do not have to use a Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp but we all do love to see them being used.

If you do use a Ching-Chou Kuik image from her Etsy store you can enter the challenge twice, thus giving you two chances of winning.

It also means that you could be "in the running" of winning the Artist Choice Award where Ching-Chou Kuik herself looks at all the entries using an image from her Etsy Store and the winner gets to pick 5 images free from the Etsy Store as their prize.
Here is a sneak peak of my card that you will see on Wednesday 9 September.  For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Walk Unafraid".

It would be lovely if you could play along with the challenge this month.
