Sending Birthday Wishes Nephew on Your 15th Birthday Logan

For my nephew Logan's birthday card I have used an image by Gillian Hutchinson over at CraftUPrint.  This cute wrinkly dog is from a set called "Another Year Another Wrinkle".

I have used the decoupage sheet and insert from the kit to make the wrinkly dog 3D.  I have used a paw print backing paper from a Joanna Sheen's Furry Friends CD (sadly no longer available).

I have finished the card off quite simply with a stamped sentiment.  I then die-cut the "15" and word "LOGAN" 6 times and stuck them together to gain height and then inked around the edges.

Wishing you a Wonderful Birthday

For this special birthday card I have used the Pink Ink Designs image called "Giraffe".

I got a gelli plate for my birthday in October and I recently got it out to play with.  I used inks/stamps and stencils.  I then tried with acrylic paints/stamps and stencils.  I preferred used the inks as it was a lot less messy.  I stamped my giraffe and die-cut my tags out of a piece of yellow and a piece of copper coloured gelli plate designs.  I also cut the yellow frame out, embossed with a Crafter's Companion 8x8 embossing folder and inked the edges.  The white frame I embossed and then used a leaf stamp from the stamp set and stamped around the edge.  Of course the giraffe had to have glasses so I stamped and cut them out.

The black glitter card is rather gorgeous and is from Hobbycraft.

I stamped some leaves and flowers onto scraps of paper and cut out.

My card has been finished off quite simply with the flowers, leaves and stamped tag sentiment.

Fingers crossed the recipient likes it.  Not my normal type of card for her!!

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 20 March 2020

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is  "EASTER OR FLORAL".

This week the Design Team were challenged to the "Lots of Layers" - so an easy challenge for most of us!!

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Awake in Purple Dream".  This started off as my image for the previous week of the "spotlighting technique" but I just wasn't happy with it so I coloured the main image and then the die-cut piece so it's like decoupage now.  I coloured the image in with Promarkers.

The backing papers are from a paper pad I won in challenge recently and the paper pad is by Trimcraft.

Before doing the mounts I knew I wants to die-cut flowers, leaves and feathers so I gutted the layers.  With just some scraps of pearlescent card for the leaves I managed it

I have finished off the card with some wide lace, die-cut sentiment, spotty ribbon, pearls, John Lockwood flowers, John Lockwood greenery and some die-cut feathers.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A Perfect Time to Craft - Anything goes
Unicorn Challenge - Flower power
Creative Craft Cottage - For the girls
Lemon Shortbread - Anything goes

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 13 March 2020

Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is  "EASTER OR FLORAL".

This week the Design Team were challenged to the "Spotlighting technique" (where you just colour a portion of the image and keep the rest black-and-white thus making it a "spotlight").

Here is my inspiration post with that theme.
For my "spotlighting technique" card I used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Hello Dragonfly".  I printed the image out twice and then cut the centre part of one image out with a star shape.  I have then coloured the image in with my Promarkers.

The backing papers are from a lovely purple pad from The Works.

I have finished the card off with a ribbon bow, lots of die-cut dragonflies, organza ribbon, lace and LOTV digital sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A friend bought me two Gemini border dies so I have used this flower and butterfly on and inked over the embossing with my Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge distress ink.
