Here is my inspiration post with this theme.
For my birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Sunshine". I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and used pearlescent chalks for the background.
The papers I have used are scraps from my stash.
I have finished off with a die-cut sunflower, three different tones of green ribbon and a die-cut sentiment.
The Promarkers that I have used are:
Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal
Hair - Caramel, Cocoa and Burnt Sienna
Dress - Ice Grey 2, Marsh Green, Moss, and Olive Green
Flowers - Lemon, Yellow, Gold, Lush Green, Pine, Cocoa and Caramel.

As You Like It - Favourite way to add a text and why (I always used to print my sentiments on the computer or I used to buy die-cut sentiments as I would NEVER dare stamp a sentiment on a finished card. That all changed when I got a stamping platform and will even stamp at the very end of my card. That still I still the crispness of a die-cut sentiment especially when it has foiling on it like this one!!)
