Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 28 August 2018

  Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

Today is a VERY sad day for me as I have made the difficult decision to leave the Lemon Shortbread Design Team.  

I've had a wonderful year creating cards/other projects with Vera's amazing images she creates for her Lemon Shortbread Etsy Store.  

Thank you so much Vera and Dewi for having me.  I've enjoyed my time and am sad it has had to finish.

Onto my last card as part of the Lemon Shortbread Design Team.

 For my birthday card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Orchid Lady".  I have coloured her in using Promarkers.

The backing papers are from a set from my friend Lozzy called "It's all about stripes".

I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment, doily, ribbon (dark purple and sitting underneath the lace), lace, various flowers, Sue Wilson die-cut greenery and some gems.

The Promarkers that I have used are: 

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal 
Hair - Cocoa, Cinnamon and Raw Sienna

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 24 August 2018

 Good morning.  It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation and you MUST specify the colouring medium you have used.

  We are lucky to have "Polkadoodles" as our sponsor this week.

For my card I have used the Polkadoodles image called "Wizardy Magic Little Dude".  In this set you get the actual image, 3 backing papers and some sentiments so fantastic value for money.  I printed off two of the backing papers and coloured my image in with Promarkers following the colour scheme of one of the backing papers.

I have put a piece of black card through a star embossing folder and added Imagination Crafts Inca Gold Alchemy Wax and Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Pearl Lustre Gilding Polish to the embossed stars. 

I have finished the card off with a sentiment from the digital kit and stars cut out from a piece of leftover backing paper.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Hair - Cinnamon, Tan and Pastel Beige

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 24 August 2018

This week the Design Team were challenged to "LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE" eg candles/moon/stars etc.  Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

 For my Halloween card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "October Night".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and distressed around the edges with Tim Holtz's Chipped Sapphire distress ink.

The backing papers I have used are from my stash.

I have finished the card off with some netting, die-cut bats/witches/ghosts and a stamped sentiment.

Two Good Luck Cards

 I was in need for two good luck cards for people at work.

I have used two images from a Joanna Sheen Jody Bergsma paper pad (sadly this paper pad does not seem to be on their website anymore): the otters and the dragonflies.

I have used the image from the paper pad and have decoupage the images.  They have been teamed it up with papers from Debbi Moore Inspiration Magazines.

The otters card has been finished off with a Sizzix rosette, stamped sentiment, button, ribbon and pearls.

The dragonflies card has been finished off with ribbon, lace, stamped sentiment, gems, Joanna Sheen die-cut dragonfly and another die-cut dragonfly but I do not know the make.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 17 August 2018

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "UNDER THE SEA".

This week the Design Team were challenged to "USE SOME DIE-CUTS" and here is my inspiration post with this theme.

For my shabby chic style birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Awake in Purple Dream" (I used the black-and-white image it is also now available as a grayscale image).  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and used my Tim Holtz distressing tool around the edge and then coluured with a brown Versa Magic ink pad.

The backing papers are from various Debbi Moore Inspiration Magazines and some freebies from a magazine by Sara Davies from Crafter's Companion.

The die-cuts I have used as per the challenge are feathers which I added some copper Cosmic Shimmer gilding polish to, some Sue Wilson greenery which I added the gilding polish to and a small rose die which I made into scrolled flowers and added the gilding polish to as well.

I have finished the card off with some lace, die-cut sentiment and some pearls.

The Promarkers that I have used are:

Hair - Cocoa, Cinnamon and Raw Sienna

Bird - Sandstone, Pastel Beige, Tan and Khaki

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 14 August 2018

Happy 26th Birthday to my son

 Today it is my eldest son's 26th birthday.  For his large A4 card I have used by Peerless Designs Cuddle-Upz CD Vol 1 and used these ostrich images.

 I have used various backing papers from the CD and printed multiple toppers, some of which I have printed off a couple of times so that I could 3D the images on the front of the card.

The card is finished off quite simply with a stamped sentiment and a large organza ribbon bow.

It was the fourth anniversary of my son being with his partner last month so I made them this card.

The cute dog image is a digital image that was offered as a freebie from the Making Cards and Papercraft Magazine.  I took the image into Craft Artist so I could flip the image.  I then printed off the image three times so I could decoupage the image.

The backing papers I have used are from various Debbi Moore Inspiration Magazines.

I have finished the card off with 3 different ribbons, tag finished with some twine and some pearls.

Here is a card that I have made for my sister-in-law.

I have used an image from a Hunkydory Little Book called "Special Days".  I used two of the images so that I could decoupage them.

I have used backing papers from a pad I bought at The Works.

I have finished the card off with some ribbon (under the lace), lace, stamped and die-cut sentiment tag, stamped and cut flowers (flowers are from a Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine and are stamped onto leftover backing paper used on this card) with button centres, two spiral floral embellishments and some Joanna Sheen little butterfly confetti die-cuts.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps August Facebook Challenge - Recycle

Today is the start of the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Group Monthly Challenge.

The topic for the Facebook August is "RECYCLE".

I decided to play along with their challenge this month.

 

I have decided to make a plaque for Christmas time.

I decided to use the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Winter Warmth" and I could the image in with Promarkers and highlighted areas with a white pen.

The backing papers are scraps from my stash.

I started off with the plaque being made out of some recycled card from a box of envelopes at work which would have normally gone straight in the bin.  I also recycled a piece of corrugated card and painted it black and highlighted area with silver Cosmic Shimmer Silver Gilding Polish.

I used a Marianne Designs tree die to cut out lots of trees and also used a flower die to make the flower with a brad centre.

I have finished the plaque off with a sentiment, twine and some glittery wire to hang it up by.
