Well it is time to show you my creation and give you details on how I made my piece of altered art for the Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. This month the challenge is "under the sea".
For my piece of altered art that I have made to go up in my craft room I have used the the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp called "Magic Wish". I have gone for the colour scheme of what you would see at the seaside ie browns and blues with a touch of pink.
I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and used two shades of yellow Pan Pastel, turquoise Pan Pastel, Pan Pastel blender and the Pan Pastel Course Medium to make the background. I have added pearl dots and Stickles for some dimension and shine.
I printed off some Summertime Designs backing papers and printed both sides so that I could cut a hole in the centre and roll back the edges to make the mermaid pop out of the centre.
I have finished this piece of altered art with some Joy! Crafts shell stamps, Marianne Designs die-cut shells brushed over with Pan Pastels, Joy! Crafts seahorse and crab die-cuts also brushed over with Pan Pastels, silver chain with charms added onto it, real shells, decorative fish net, ribbon, Joy! Crafts seaside sentiment and some pearls.
