Thinking of You

For my card I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Rebecca Sinz called "Despair".  It is available as a digital stamp and a rubber stamp.  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers.  I have inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Old Paper distress ink.  I keep my sympathy/thinking of you cards very plain and neutral as I do not think it's a respectful time for lots of colour and embellishments.  It's just a  personal thing I know.

The backing papers are from a Wellington paper pad and my beloved Tim Holtz paper pad which is slowing disappearing.  I have used a Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die and cut some flowers out of a book and coloured half with a Sandstone Promarker and the other half with a Tan Promarkers.  They are then scrunched and a brad added to the centre to hold them together.  I have finished the card off with a die-cut sentiment tag which I have stamped "thinking of you" onto, pearls, crochet lace and some ribbon.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Great card, Kym! The image is quite poignant and I love the way you've kept the colours so muted. Fab use of the book pages for your flowers - just perfect for our theme this week at Passion for promarkers! Lisa x
