Over at the Graph'it Challenge this week the challenge is "shades of grey". Well that topic wanted me to "run for hills" but a challenge it was but I've had a go. Unfortunately although I have started to build up a small collection of Graph'it pens I haven't got any greys and will hopefully keep a look on entries for the challenge and the Design Team members to gain ideas on which ones to go for. I never ever thought anything would compare to my beloved Promarkers and certainly not better them but once I tried a few Graph'it pens I was hooked. Now that they've introduced the brush nibs as well and that this replaces the chisel end rather than the pointed end they are a dream come true. Roll on Christmas to see if Father Christmas brings me some if I'm a good girl!!!
Right onto my card. It's a Bearly Mine Designs/Delicious Doodles/Sweet Pea Stamps creation.
I have used "Tombstone 3" from Teri over at Delicious Doodles and decided to use the shape of the tombstone into a shaped A5 card. The Tombstone 3 image is available as a single image or as part of a Tombstone Collection which is a set of 6 tombstones.
The lady is a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Rebecca Sinz called "Harvest Moon". She does come with a background around her (moon, gravestones, bats etc) but I have enlarged her to A5 size and fussy cut around the image. Harvest Moon is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 11, Plate 234 - Harvest Moon comes on the multi-image plate with Cecaelia, Dead Sea and Steam Punk Assasin).
I have coloured the image of the lady with Promarkers (Cool Grey 1, Cool Grey 2, Cool Grey 3, Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2, Ice Grey 4, Warm Grey 1, Warm Grey 2, Warm Grey 3 and Warm Grey 4) - it's amazing how many different greys I used!!! I've used some of the greys also on the tombstone.
Around the tombstone I have cut out some Bearly Mine spiders web paper. It is available in orange, red and purple in the Halloween Hauntings digital paper set but I have used a freebie paper as I wanted to keep this card in a white/black/grey colour scheme. The freebie paper can be found here.
I have finished the card off with a sentiment off the computer and some bats cut from the Harvest Moon digital image.

This is fantastic, I really love how you have 'worked' the greys. Thanks so much for joining the Graph'It Colour Challenge. Good Luck :)
Brilliant work, Kym! If you're thinking about investing in some Graph'it greys, I would recommend the Neutral Greys first. You don't need to get them all - go for 9501 9503 9505 9507 & 9509 and they will give a great blend! If you fancy a more blue-ish grey, go for the cool greys (9100s)! Anyway, thanks so much for joining us at Graph'it Markers Colour Challenge and good luck! x
Fantastic card and wonderful use of the greys! Thanks for joining the Graph It color challenge! Good Luck!
