Use it Tuesday Challenge - Guest Designer - Tuesday 12 February 2013

I recently won a challenge over at the Use it Tuesday Challenge Blog and was asked if I wanted to be a Guest Designer for today.  Of course my answer was "yes".  The challenge for this fortnight is to "use fasteners ie brads, buttons or eyelets".  To take part in the challenge you must let them know what items you are "using up" - and I know we all have craft items we should use rather than hoard.
For my card I have used papers from my stash (some of which I've had for 1-2 years) and the image is a pre-coloured image from The Next Big Thing CD-Rom.  I have added some ribbon, twine, brads, decorative clip (which I've had for about 2 years when these came in fashion - I think it's about time I used them up) and some buttons (my mum did sewing for a living when I was young and mainly whizzed up leather and suede clothes at one stage and therefore she had hundreds and hundreds of buttons so I have used some of them which must be 35+ years old!!)

I want to thank Siobhan and her Team for allowing me to be their Guest Designer this fortnight.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes with ribbon
Inspire me Friday - Anything goes
Natalie and Amy - Something old, something new (old is the buttons and new is the sentiment)

Brilliant card Kym, just love that tractor scene. Well done on your guest dt spot. Thanks for your encouraging words Kym about my op, seems so long ago you where giving me advice about getting a hospital appointment and now, 3 years later I am finally having the op. I want to thank you for being so kind and helpful and your words have calmed my nerves tonight. Hugs

Love all of the pieces you used from your hoarded stash! They work so well together. Great job being a guest with us over at UIT!
