Return of the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge

Today sees the start of the challenges again at the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge Blog after our little break for the summer.

There have been some changes as follows:
  • you need to use a stamped image or a digi image
  • please DO NOT backlink to old projects made
  • although we would love to see Sweet Pea Stamps used it is not compulsory
  • please do not enter the challenge more than 3 times.
The challenge will run monthly again.  The Random.Org number generator will pick the top card/project for the month and the lucky winner will receive 2 Sweet Pea Stamps.  There will also be a badge awarded to one lucky winner.  This will be decided by the Design Team.

This month the challenge is "anything goes" so that is an easy one to start you off with.  As a special for the re-launch Random.org will pick a winner who will get two Sweet Pea Stamps BUT the Design Team will also pick their favourite card/project and this winner will get a badge and also two Sweet Pea Stamps.  This is just a one-off to celebrate our return.
For my card I have used various backing papers from my stash.  I had no end of 6x6 papers that I have been given and some I have bought so I went through and sorted them into colour families which makes it so much easier to find a colour I want.  The Sweet Pea Stamps image I have used is one of my favourites and is "Darya" by Elaine Cox.  I have coloured the image with Promarkers and highlighted areas with my Sakura Stardust clear pen and white gel pen.  I tore around the image and distressed with a chalk ink pad, mounted the image and then put tiny dots of acrylic paint around the edge.  The card has been finished off with some pins, Craftwork Cards sentiment, pearls, My Craft Studio Click-Print-Go flowers with brad centres, lace and ribbon.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Stempeltraume - Ribbon
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Bright colours
Totally Stampalicious - Ribbon
Platypus Creek - Birthdays
Kaboodle Doodles - Flowers
Ruby's Rainbow - BINGO board - top line for me of lace, pearls and pins
Totally Papercrafts - Use your favourite stamp - I have a few favourite stamps and this is one of them
The Poodles Parlour - Here come the girls
Inspire me Friday - Anything goes
The Stamp Man - Use hot colours

That's a good idea sorting your papers into colours, must make things a lot easier.
