I needed to make a birthday card for someone so I decided to use the stamp my son bought me for Mother's Day from Crafts and Me entitled Pink Lightning by Jasmine Becket-Griffith. I have coloured her in with Promarkers, made the sky effect around her with some sparkly chlaks, ripped around the image, inked the edges with a chalk ink pad, highlighted the edges with a Martha Stewart blue glitter pen and then did some faux stitching. The patterned backing papers are from a Amy Butler K&Co paper pad called Belle. They are certainly louder than I normally use but they grew on me. I have teamed the backing papers up with blue and green DCWV textured card. I made a tag with my alcohol inks - a green, blue and also my gold. I love the addition of the gold and at some stage must invest in the other metallic effects. The card has been finished off with some lace, ribbon, buttons, Craftwork Cards sentiment (which was a light purple but I coloured green with a Promarker and then added some dots with the Martha Stewart glitter pen used around the image), glittery fibres and Dawn Bibby Design glitter flowers (which I bought in Dawn's shop when I went up there for my 40th birthday nearly 2 years ago) with blue flower brad centres.
