Jade's Sparkling Butterflies Challenge Blog - 9 June 2016 - Favourite colour combo

It is time for another challenge over at the Jade's Sparkling Butterflies Challenge Blog.  This fortnight the topic is "favourite colour combo".

For anyone that knows me they will know that I LOVE the colour purple so I had to go for that for my favourite colour combo.

For my card I have used the Robyn's Fetish image called "Waking up Birdie" and I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and chalked the background.

The backing papers are all from Debbi Moore magazines.

I have finished off the card with a border using an X-cut die, die-cut flowers, stamped sentiment and Nuvo pearl drops.

Thinking of You

Here is a "Thinking of You" card I have made using Joanna Sheen's Heavenly Cards CD (sadly this has been retired but it has proved to be a very useful CD).

I always keep thinking of you/with sympathy cards very simple so I have used a topper sheet, backing paper and insert from the CD.  The lilies are decoupaged up.

I have finished the card off very simply with a ribbon bow and pearls.

Ching-Chou Kuik - New Release

  Today sees the arrival of a new image in the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Etsy Store:

  The image is called "Star Wish" and is available in the Etsy Store at an introductory rate of $2.80 (original price $4) until 5 June 2016.  

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Facebook Challenge - June 2016 - Ready for my close up

It is time for another challenge over at the Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Facebook Group.

The challenge for June 2016 is "READY FOR MY CLOSE UP" ie you can use any Ching-Chou Kuik image that is the head/face only OR you can crop one of her images to be the head/face only.

Even though I am in the Blog Design Team I have decided to play along as well.

For my card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Hello Magnolia".

As you can see I have cropped the image to exclude virtually all of her dress.  Ching-Chou Kuik is fine with people cropping her images but not all digital artists will allow this.

I have coloured my image in with my Promarkers and made a delicate background with my chalks.

The backing papers are from my stash including some from magazines.

I have finished the card off with some fluted wired edged ribbon, lace, die-cut sentiments, Nuvo pearl drops, spotty organza ribbon, pearl brad and I have made some flowers to match with a stamp/die set from a crafty friends with the layers being held together with brads.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration and Challenge Blog - June 2016 Challenge - Pearls and Lace

Today sees the start of another challenge over at the Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog.

This month the challenge is "PEARLS AND LACE".

To take part you do not have to use a Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp but we all do love to see them being used.

If you do use a Ching-Chou Kuik image from her Etsy store you can enter the challenge twice, thus giving you two chances of winning.

It also means that you could be "in the running" of winning the Artist Choice Award where Ching-Chou Kuik herself looks at all the entries using an image from her Etsy Store and the winner gets to pick 5 images free from the Etsy Store as their prize.
