Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 30 March 2018

 Good morning.  It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

The topic this week is "anything goes".

PLEASE NOTE:  We are a colouring challenge and therefore to take part in the challenge you MUST have coloured something on your card/creation.

 We are lucky to have "Polkadoodles" as our sponsor this week.

 For my Spring themed card I have used the Polkadoodles image called "Crocus, the Darling Buds".  I have coloured in my image with Promarkers and chalked the background for a subtle sparkly effect.

The patterned card I have used is from Hunkydory.

I have finished the card off with some organza pink ribbon, lace, tag from another Hunkydory kit, gems and some purple organza ribbon.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 27 March 2018

 Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

 For my arch shaped card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Relaxing Flower Fairy".    I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and added Stickles glitter glue to her wings.

I have used an arch shaped set of dies I got for Christmas.  I used the largest die to cut the card shaped and used some backing papers from my friend Lozzy to cut the next arch layer.  I added some pleated washi tape down the left hand side.  I then cut the next layer using the image and had to cut around the wings and kept them the other side of the die or she'd have had her wings shopped off - poor little fairy!!  I then pricked holes around the image and used two pieces of embroidery thread to stitch around the image.

I have finished the card off simply as it needs to be posted and added some punched flowers from the backing papers and a die-cut sentiment.

Hair - Saffron, Vanilla and Cocoa

Dress/shoes - China Blue, Cobalt Blue and Cornflower

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps - New release

 Today sees the arrival of a new image in the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Etsy Store:

Happy Birthday - Have a grrrreat day

I needed to make a card for a man so I whizzed on over to my Creative Crafting World Pollyanna Pickering Wildlife CD.  Male cards can sometimes be difficult if the recipient is not into football, fishing etc but cards made with animals can easily be sent to men.

For my card I have used various backing papers from the CD, shaped pyromage, sentiments and borders.  I like these CDs as each animal has a set of items you can use and you can happily know everything will match.

I have finished the card off with ribbon strips off the CD, sentiments of the CD and some Papermania Glitterations.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 23 March 2018

 Here is my weekly inspiration post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Monthly Challenge Blog. 

Before I do I'd like to remind you that our challenge this month is "SPRING/EASTER".

This week the Design Team were challenged to "GREEN" by Design Team Member Dianne.

Here is my inspiration post with this theme.

 For those that know me I really dislike the colour green so this topic was certainly a challenge for me!!!

For my birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamp called "Autumn Dragonflies".  Apart from her face/neck/arm everything else has been coloured in tones of greens.  I nearly ran out of green Promarkers to use!!

The backing papers are from some Debbi Moore inspiration magazines.  

I have finished the card off with washi tape pleated trim, lace, gems, Craftwork Cards sentiment, die-cut tag with twine and some die-cut Joanna Sheen die-cut dragonflies with the addition of some Stickles glitter glue for some sparkle.

Promarkers used: 

Face/skin - Saffron, Spice and Oatmeal 
Remainder of the image - Moss, Apple, Meadow Green, Bright Green, Pear Green, Leaf Green, Olive Green, Pastel Green, Lush Green and Holly.

Happy Easter With Love

Over at the CD Sunday Challenge this fortnight the challenge is "rabbit, rabbit" so I thought I would play along.

For my Happy Easter card I have used a backing paper and design sheet from my Joanna Sheen Happy Hoppers and Gruffies CD.  I love this CD as there are so many cute bear images and of course super cute bunny images.

For my Easter card I have used a design sheet and a backing paper and teamed it up with some card from my stash.

I have finished my card off with a pink satin ribbon, blue grosgrain ribbon, sentiments off the design sheet and three rather cute foam Easter egg embellishments I got from The Works last year.

Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps - New release

Very Special Birthday Card

 Here is a very special card I have made using Debbi Moore's Rock and Roll Inspirational Papercrafting CD.

 
 I have used various decoupage sheets and design sheets from the CD along with lots of different backing papers.

For a number of the pages and the box I have printed off a red and a yellow record backing paper and cut each record out with a The Works stitched detail circle die.

This card and box took me about 30 hours to make over a month or more.  Sadly some recipients of handmade cards do not realise/understand the time spent on a card but I know the recipient will have done.

 I decided I am going to do the same as last year and regularly make Christmas cards throughout the year.   For my Christmas card I have used the Dr Digi image called "Simply Santa".  I have coloured my image in with Promarkers.

As it is very likely that the card will need to be posted I have just finished off the card with a computer generated sentiment and some gems.

Ching-Chou Kuik's Digital Stamps Inspiration Post - Friday 16 March 2018

Male Birthday Cards

 Here are two male themed birthday which I have made with my Debbi Moore Vintage Transport CD.  I love this CD especially for male orientated cards but the cars could easily be used for wedding cards.

Lemon Shortbread Challenge - Tuesday 13 March 2018

  Welcome to another challenge over at the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.

The challenge this fortnight is "anything goes".

 For my Spring feeling pink and green card I have used the Lemon Shortbread image called "Wildflower Basket Fairy".  I have coloured the image in with Promarkers and highlighted areas with my white gel pen and black micron pen.

The backing papers I have used are from a paper pad from B&M.

I have to say that the die-cut behind this image has not been used much.  It would take maybe 5-6 times to go through the Cuttlebug or Grand Calibur to cut properly.  Now with my Gemini it takes one pass.  Whoopee.  This means you will see more of this die-cut as I really like it.

I have finished the card off quite simply with some die-cut flowers and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Friday 9 March 2018

 Good morning.  It is time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.

 For my birthday card I have used the Ching-Chou Kuik image called "Ladybugs" (which comes in a set with another image called "Monarch Butterfly".  For a change I have coloured the image in with various coloured pencils.  I struggle holding pencils even with a support on the pencil so I don't do use pencils very often.

I have finished the card off with some organza ribbon, metallic ribbon, die-cut sentiment, flower from a friend in Canada and two rather cute die-cut ladybirds.
