It is Monday again and therefore time for another Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Inspiration Post from me.
As this card is going to be hand delivered I can go "over the top" with embellishments. I see cards on blogs/Facebook/entered into challenges and just wonder how much they cost to post to people. It's sad that we have to think about this when making our handmade cards but it is something we have to think about.
Here I have made a card using an image called "Aurora Woods" which is available in Ching-Chou Kuik's Etsy Store. Isn't she a beauty with her reindeer hat on? I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens, highlighted areas with my white, Gold sparkle and silver sprakle Graph'it pens. The backing is made with a green and blue Pan Pastel blended together slightly and the whole image has been inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Peeled Paint distress ink. I have mounted the image onto a piece of backing paper with glitter glue around the edge and added some Dutch Doobadoo Smooth Structure Paste along the corners to look like snow. I have added Flowersoft Polar White to the fur of her reindeer hat.
All the backing papers I have used are from Summertime Designs and I have rounded the corners and gone around the edges with Stickles glitter glue and left to dry overnight.
Embellishment - well what haven't I used. I have used a Sissix die for my holly and pine cones, used Dutch Doobadoo Smooth Structure Paste through a Dutch Doobadoo Small Leaves Mask and cut to sit underneath the image, organza ribbon, wooden button heart, die-cut trees with the Structure Paste added to them, red card candi for the holly berries, piece of hessian cut into a strip (we got this as a thank-you for attending our workshop last Sunday), stamped sentiment and some wonderful white spiral stamens (I added some brown Pan Pastel to them and a little bit of the Structure Paste).
As this card won't fit nicely/safely in an envelope I have made up a box I bought last week-end from Tracy at my Crafty Crop. I have used Summertime Designs papers and gold card to decorate the box. The box has been finished off with a stamped and die-cut sentiment, die-cut holly and card candi to look like holly berries.
Here is a picture of the card and its matching box.
