Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge - 2 August 2013 - Embossing - Wet or Dry or Both

It is time for another challenge over at the Sweet Pea Stampers Challenge Blog.  This fortnight the challenge is "embossing - wet or dry or both".
For my card I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "White Peacock Dryad".  This image is available as a individual rubber stamp, on a stamp plate (Sheet 27, Plate 86 - it comes on a stamp plate with Ching-Chou Kuik's Jeweled, Radiant Butterfly and Field of Poppies) and also as a digital stamp. For my card I have used the rubber stamp and coloured it in with Promarkers/Flexmarkers and highlighted areas with a white gel pen.  I decided not to used any patterned backing paper as I wanted to use a new embossing folder and stamp set I got free with a magazine.  I highlighted the peacock embossing detail with a green Pan Pastel.  I have made the flowers with layers die-cut from a book and inked with Tim Holtz's Pine Needles and Peeled Paint distress ink, screwed them up and then held the layers together with brads.  I have finished the card off with the stamped frame/small peacock image that came with the magazine, card candi, raffia ribbon, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment, organza ribbon, peacock charm with some memory wire threaded through it.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Mark's Finest Papers - Tie it up

  11. Making flowers from book pages is really so much fun and your really add a certain extra bit of glitz. The dry emboss is great on this layered beauty.
Thank you so much for posting your beautiful work with us this week, at “Word Art Wednesday”.
