Special Friend

This is a card I have made using a Delicious Doodles image called "Iris and Butterfly".  I decided to go with a colour scheme of purple and bright green - yikes!!!!  I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and highlighted areas with a silver gel pen and some Distress Stickles glitter glue.

The backing papers I have used are Bearly Mine Designs Gingham and Bearly Mine Designs Mini Dots.  I have fussy cut around the image (yes, the antennae weren't easy but I cut a bit wider than I need and then colour over it with a black Promarker so it blends in without a white edge) and layered onto the backing papers.  The card has been finished off with some stitched ribbon, card candi, faux stitching and Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

LEJ Designs - Show us your ribbons
Passion for Promarkers - Cut out your image
Creative Inspirations - Anything goes and option of hearts
Wort Art Wednesday - Anything goes
Glitter n Sparkle - Stitching real or faux
Crafty-Emblies - Anything goes

Stampin' for the Week-end - Friendship
