Saturated Canary Challenge No 1 - Thursday 29/9/11

Over at the Saturated Canary Challenge it was challenge no 1 last week which was a sketch with an option of Halloween.  I love these images and as they are available digitally they can be made for small or bigger cards.  I decided to have a little splurge so that I could play along - well it would be rude not to - and I wish the new challenge blog all the success in the world.
For my card I have used the image called "Rags and Witches".  Madly I decided on a colour scheme of black, purple and lime green - not sure where that colour scheme came from but then had difficulty finding some lime green paper so off I went to my Funky Hands Funky Daze CD and found a lime green with purple spots and a lime green textured effect so I was all sorted.  The image I have coloured in with my trusty Promarkers.  I have distressed around the edge of the image with Tim Holtz's Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord ink pads and then added dots with my Sakura white gel pen.  The card has been finished off with a Redhotbed cardboard ribbon, black satin ribbon with a bow added on top and three buttons (recycled from an old top) with black bats from a Summertime Designs kit called "A BOO-tiful Night" which were held in place with wire.

    Hi Kym, I love those details on your card. Bat buttons and beautifully distressed paper are my favourites. Colour combo is not very usual, but you have made it work! Great stuff.
