The Paper Pad Challenge - 8 October 2011

A crafting friend of mine has set up her own challenge blog called The Paper Pad.  Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to enter in her first weeks' challenge so I made sure I made one for this challenge using the freebies that Pascale has designed to be used for the challenge.  The topic is "Steampunk".
For my card I have used the blue freebie backing papers.  The image is from Saturated Canary and is called "Sprocket the Steampunk Aviator".  I have coloured it in with Promarkers and then I have stippled a background with a brown chalk ink pad and an ink duster.  I used a plastic spacer for some CDs and used my alcohol inks on it and then punched some holes in it.  I added some brads, tied some embroidery thread through one side and added an antique style glass dropper.  The card is finished off with some antique style buttons and a Craftwork cards sentiment.
